Ok hello all this might sound mighty dumb , but

Is there some way in hell i can increase the amount of ram ofp uses and if so how can i do it and if not plz tell me why.

No, you can't. The game was released in 2001, when the average PC had 128 or 256MB of RAM, not 4 to 8 GBs like today. The game wasn't designed to handle such amounts.

I thought the game uses most of the memory you set in the external preference setting I think the max is 2 gigs, cause I have more than that 3.5gigs and it only allowed me to up it to 2 gigs.

Cheers so what i reading about now is that you can change the direct x file to make the game use more ram?
