Tried run on older operationg system modes (vista and Xp) in all SP versions. Installed lastest drivers on OpenAL and DirectX. Checked other drivers and all are updated. Downloaded 1.18RC and 1.18 RC1 final. None of them worked.

I was here browsing for the same thing, plays ArmAII just fine installed an patched up to 1.18 but get same error message.

AMD Phenom IIx4 3.20 ghz 4.0 gig ram NVidia 450.Win 7 Home premium 64 bit op system.
Makes me kinda cry as i got this pc as an upgrade for ArmA II an was hoping to see ArmAI on this more powerful pc compared to what i had for it when it came out. have tried everything i know. Can a dev maybe shed a lil lite on this as I miss Sahrani very much 8)-

Well the 1st attempt was my Atari DVD version, I also have the Steam version both gave me same error as given by the guy who started the post. Can send a DXDiag if needed. I was thinking maybe it was a 64 bit op system issue but not sure, that or maybe DX I dl'd the new DX but have to re-install an try again as i said not realy sure what else to try.

I have never had trouble running ArmA on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and this was before the 1.18 patch so I think it could be to do with hardware, everyone who is having trouble post your hardware specs. Try running the game as administrator as well .

    ArmA - Gold Problem

Windows 7 Ultimate here. Install is from Gamersgate download. I get the following message:

The program can't start because d3dx9_31.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I'm guessing I maybe just had a corrupted download? But if this .dll is handy would appreciate not having to reinstall the whole thing.

Can post more Dxdiag info if need be.
