PMC campaign in Coop - Resume broken?

Hi,

Last night a mate and I played the PMC campaign. Although it was fun it was irritating to discover that the "resume" feature (which appears to be quick-save) didn't work. What I mean is that our progress in the campaign was correctly saved, i.e. once we finished a mission it registered as completed. However within a mission, despite the game auto-saving on several occasions and despite me manually saving the game, we were never able to resume at any of these points.

Has this occured to anyone else?
Is there a solution?

will be fixed in Upcoming version of PMC
which I assume is part of soon to be released 1.60 patch
