You could clip it to the front of your shirt. I think the shoulder mounting is for the prototype but it will be refined. Endless flexibility and possibilities. Why be constrained by the screen or touch screen?

Hi all

I presume the shoulder mounting is down to running the cabling to the development computer.

Once the design is fixed run it from a bluetooth device to an adroid device based on the guts of a tablet or phone. I would opt for something atached to a microphone head set, same as TrackIR is.

How will it work if there are lots of people around you, moving etc... Like on a packed train in the morning?

Thats pretty cool.
LED projectors are getting pretty small so maybe it will become something you can drop over your shirt pocket.

I think it has a good application for work/schools as in presentations, teaching groups of people and so on for projectors.

Although the notion that someone would be accessing this on a day to day basis is stretching it to some degree. The fact that it uses a system of projecting outward makes me think not many people will be reading emails and doing transactions on-line and drawing pictures/writing and making notes, tapping out numbers where anyone can "watch with you"

Pretty much a PC projector for everyone than a closed off screen.

Best combination would be projecting the tools to interact but the display is optional outward or though eyepiece overlay.

Then again my views on this tech are always a bit stand off ish to a point, nothing physical & everything to control and monitor.

Last year my friend went to the US and he brought back this phone from LG (LG Expo, I think it’s called), and he had this fat add-on for it that you put over the battery (you take out the old cover and snap this in its place) which gave you a projector that you can project movies, pictures and stuff like that on to a wall.

It was very cool and played smoothly in a dark room but kind of sucked if you get too far away from the wall or if there was too much light in the room. I think the worst thing about it was that it sucked out the battery too much, after 20 minutes you would have 15% left.

However I still like the idea, I think it would be very handy for all phones to have it they could get the projector to fit inside without the fat addon instead of these 3D camera phones that are coming out these days. Shame that it didn’t catch on in Europe, but maybe with this new touch support will get another chance.

EDIT:

If you could turn the projector you could put it on your table, hold up a paper and annotate it, play games etc... like the video shows, or project stuff on to your wall. If you’re in bed you could put the phone on your chest and draw/play games on your hand etc... Just an idea
