Thread: trackir movement

    trackir movement

from 0-17sec, community preview(not perfect at all) especially the zooming was way better in looking on instruments than in the new beta. trackir movment is so short, you can´t do anything. look at the rest of the video.

    both the same trackir profiles.

    anyone niticed the same ?

btw , on the caracter its the same feeling than in arma2oa, but in chopper its really diffrent. even in arma2oa the trackir works better in vehicles.

I can't even get my trackir to work I am using the old pro3 without the vector stuff just the plain look left right up and down but I can't get the game to see it.
I updated the software and TOH is in the list but still no joy.
In the video I wonder if it is a FPS problem that will be better after they optimize the game...

Forget about the TrackIR I finally found the post that said to go into the config file and turn it on. It works but you are right there is some weirdness.

Yeah I'd prefer being able to turn off the pilot body and have freer camera movement in the cockpit.

Track IR seems to be working on my v5. I have noticed that the zoom function doesn't work properly. I cant zoom in on the instruments at all.

You have to use the normal zoom, default right mouse button.

It seems also like the 6DOF have been limited. I was able to go up and through the roof in the community preview, but that doesn't seem possible anymore. Leaning out of the helicopter is also more difficult with the pre order beta (using the same TIR4 and TrackIR profile).

Game supports 6DOF including zoom. Range of movement is limited to respect that pilot has a seatbelt. Some players like to zoom with head movement, other prefer to offset head without zooming. Feel free to configure your personal assigments of TrackIR axes movement to game controls Options->Controls.

    Thanks, makes good sense.
