I think there's no interesting topics right now, so I made this.

Feel free to post some interesting replies.

I kind of figured you would post something like that. Ok, how about this:
I have reached my computer in Stockholm. My girlfriend (ret.) came home earlier and managed to fix it with my instructions. This was a small miracle since she knows really nothing about computers and doesn't get terms like "that window behind the other window". It generates a reply "what do you mean behind?". Anyway, I now have full control of my computer

Here is a live picture from my apartment in Stockholm, updated every 15 seconds. If you see something suspicious, tell me

It's strange how much we rely on the internet....

Where I work, we activate customers via an internet system. And our point of sale system is vpn over the internet.

This morning, the ISP is on and off. Works for five minutes, is off for five minutes. And it's making doing business almost impossible. That and I can barely post on here...as I cant access it half the time..well, it's making me a little crazy.

When I first did this ten years ago, everything was done by telephone. And it was slower..but it worked all the time. Technology makes is faster...but only when our ISP isnt having a fit

You mean the one with the chainsaw? Yepp

But not girlfriend, but girlfriend (ret.) = ex girlfriend.

Warin: Yepp. I have however yet again learned a lesson of how software is notoriously unreliable. Imagine if we would build planes and cars like we build software. I guess that we sacrifice reliability for quick development.

It was actually pretty funny.. it was ZoneAlarm that had messed it up and blocked every single connection to my computer, including PCAnywhere and FTP. I somehow managed to guide my gf (ret.) to turning it off. About half an hour later I got the bright idea that I could reconfigure ZA remotely. Oh.. damn.. bad idea. Eh, I had to call her again

hhmm..just a few minutes ago, monitor was on, and i could see a microphone, but now monitor is out and all i see is mouse light. at center bottom.

hey? what's that girl doing? she's naked! and is touching herself!

The problem was not really in ZoneAlarm, but in me messing with the settings. I did something that I thought would lower the permission settings for outgoing programs, instead I raised it so it blocked.

Hmm.. the monitor is off.. easily fixed.. done
