"Bad version, server rejected connection"

Hi please help its been 2 weeks since I bought this game but I cannot play multiplayer due to this error pls can someone help me?

This error has been posted about a 100 times over the years, did you search the forums for it?

Heres what you need to do:

1. Make sure you have your game patched to the latest.

2. make sure you have the same version of the game as the server does

3. Make sure that you have any addons and or mods that the server requires for a particular mission they are running

Ok fair enough but where do i put the patch?

If you have the official patch for Arma2CO then let it run, it will patch your game to the latest, nothing for you to do but run it.

But install it to your arma2 directory.

Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead Patch 1.59RC6

or do you just have Arma2 alone and not OA?

I have arma 2: OA

Then that patch will do you need it to do. Just download the patch (save it anywhere), run the installer and then click yes or continue or ok to any of the prompts.

After that you will be patched up to latest.
