I'm not sure if A2 and OA MLODs will be released for public... Friendly speaking, I doubt much that BIS will do it.

Im still waiting for the 3dsmax and maya shaders that a year a go were "gonna be released next week"![]()
Suma confirmed Mlods will be - but nobody knows when
I hope soon and not after Arma 3 release , because ArmA1 mlods came out 1 year before ArmA 2
There's one place for One Snake and for One BigBoss !!!
I hope they are released soon after A3 comes out. A2 content with A3's engine would be the bee's knees.
Spoiler:
True, although the A2 content won't be able to use many of the new A3 features without some major modification. For example the whole customizable uniform/gear thing. It'll be the same kind of situation as with the backpack system and thermal textures introduced in OA. Probably worse.
I would much rather see them release some example models for A3 showing how to use all the new features, thus allowing modders to create fully functional content more quickly and easily.
I'm resurrecting this topic because it's a valid question and there's no need to make a new topic on the same thing again.
I (and probably a lot of other people) would like to see the ArmA 2/OA MLODs released before A3. I'd like to add the OA features to the original ArmA 2 content to bring it up to OA standards.
So, is there an estimate yet of when this is going to happen?

I would hazard a guess that the proliferation of Arma2 content being stolen and used in other mods for other games, with a complete lack of respect for us and the complete ignorance to our polite requests for their removal has put a damper on things, GTA being one of the prime candidates of that, if people want to see MLODs return I can only suggest they educate anyone they happen to come across about respecting the rights of those who create the content (that includes the community mods as well because they're being ripped for other games sadly).
I totally understand where you are coming from as I'd be pissed to see my hard work stolen and thrown into other games as well. I just don't find it fair that people who want the MLODs for good uses (learning and new content creation for ArmA 2) are getting pegged in the same pool as the scum (basically).
I'd just really like to improve some of the content so it's up to OA standards and use the ArmA 2 MLODs to make new infantry/vehicles/etc.
Maybe MLODs could be given out to certain people (mod authors that are vouched for by BIS Staff/Moderators)?
