Onlive is a great concept and the console folks would love it but its not hard to get most of them iterested in something like this. Just look at what Microsoft is doing. Buy a laptop and get a free Xbox 360. Thats like buying a GTX560 and then getting a free GTX240.

The creator of Onlive also did WebTV. He wants the couch potato crowd and more then likely some bigger company to buy it from him.

Looking at your Youtube channel it looks like you're just trying to score some sponsorship cash from them.
This sums up the TS intent....

    My Releases:
ArmA 2 CO: Jackal Two Nine || US Army '09 Replacements || Marsoc Marines Replacement Coming Soon...
Skyrim: Jormungandr || Poison Blade (HD) || Poison Blade (Lighter Blade - HD)

I believe they have different subscription offerring (at least from my understanding).

Btw - Homefront was only 1 of the titles mentioned - I couldn't discuss anything else as I'd be breaking NDA.

In any case - Yes I do believe its more competitive against the Console market but I'm sure over time as tech progresses they may possibly just cater for the PC market (hindsight would be useful right now).

As for the systems they use - I do know they are in the process of updating a majority of their systems - I was surprised to hear the equipment they use now, and the equipment they plan on running in the future

@Suma - From a DEV point of view and the graphics side - Yes I believe some form of common graphics settings is set between the 2 companies (Onlive & Publisher/Developer) as there is an option to change that.

Like I said - All in all, someone mentioned the couch potato - It'll be a great platform/service in my opinion - Won't be to everyone's taste but that is life, and everyone is different and have their own opinions

At last, some of the supporters of this ridiculous project seem to be pulling out.

BT and HTC are walking away with their fingers burned. This is the beginning of the end.

Let's hear no more of it.

I am not so sure that they walked away - it's more like an exceedingly dodgy way of transferring assets to a new company whilst shafting your investors. It will be a wary man indeed that invests in the new company. I hope they did not shaft any publishers in the process because that will make it very hard indeed for them. Shoddy.

It's just WebTV all over again like I said in an earlier post.

The guy behind both of them [Steve Perlman] supposably has a history of this kind of thing.

  8. #78
Indeed. He does seem to have a back catalogue of unsuccessful products.

If any of the following interview is true then it just confirms what a shady bunch they are...

I have worked for some big corporations in my time and none of them have this much contempt for their staff.

That's nasty. The people at the bottom get shafted even worse here.

Let's hope people stop bankrolling the Perlman chap's ridiculous airy fairy projects.
