    Looks like it. Any search for Arma 2 does not give any usefull result as in demo or free game.
    I guess they saw how popular Arma 2: Free is and just removed is so people start buying it instead.

    Well it vanished also from some digital stores here in Brasil, they even returned the cash.

    Wild guess: Since ACR needs A2 AND OA, maybe A2 is going full free? Let's wait and see.....

    well, i hope its not happen until Arma3 launch.
    unless BIS somehow burden activation of OA in "Free" version. making it more time/energy-consuming for cheaters/exploiters to abuse gameplay :[
    also would be warmly welcome cummulative patch to vanilla Arma2, which incorporate most of security-related features of 1.63 patch for OA.

    So? Get a key from elsewhere and download the non-steam version, no big deal, facebook, google, numerous ways to get a key: http://free.arma2.com/activation/ like life is gonna end just because you can't get a free game on Steam!
    If someone reports an issue/complains about the Alpha etc, replying in the thread "dude it's an alpha" doesn't really help anyone! Point them to the Arma3 Alpha feedback tracker instead please!

    Please do not PM or Email me directly about your CD Key issues, follow the guidance in this thread instead.
