Exclamation Guidelines for this forum and other important information

Please note the following rules and guidelines for this forum:

    • Each squad will have one thread only.
    • Each thread can contain posts concerning your group or squad. This can be announcing new recruiting, announcing training or competitions or new server software or things like that.
    • If you have something new to add, edit your EXISTING thread.
    • No discussions are allowed in the thread, if you want to discuss things use your own forum or create a social group for it here.
    • The forum rules apply here as well, especially the 100 kb image rule. Posts or threads which contain images over 100 kb are not approved!

Again, this forum and its threads are soleley for announcing or updating squads/fanpages. The threads serve as a billboard for the squad so to say. Spam and posts with questions that can be asked by PM or any other posts that we feel are just being made to bump the thread to the top of the page will be deleted and result in the squad no longer being able to use this forum for their advertising.
A new video or screenshots from the last sessions is not an update!

If you get banned from a privately owned server then discuss this with the server admin, or if that is not possible in their forums or be PM. As a very last option use the ArmA2 - Multiplayer forum.

Also please note: This forum is pre-moderated.

Over the past years there have always been squabbles and bickering between squads, this has come to a head over the past 6 months or so with numerous squads having rivalries with each other, spreading crap about each other, stirring up trouble for each other by reporting and whispering stuff in our ears, essentially to try to discredit a squad to steal their members. This stuff really has to stop because it's tearing our community apart, presumably you started a squad, joined a squad to enhance your community experience right? Well a lot of you by your behaviours are undoing that great community spirit that has been building for nearly a decade since the release of Operation Flashpoint (the really kickass game that we made, not that other thing). To that end the official line now is that I, the moderators, Bohemia Interactive cannot and will not get involved in any kind of squabbles, complaints about a squad or its behaviour away from these forums. Do not report such issues to us please, we only have the time and energy to enforce forum rules so only issues which clearly break forum rules should be reported to us, one can only hope that the squads which have forgotten the core ethos of why we're still here so many years later can remember it again and start to cooperate with each other, to be friendlier with each other to undo a lot of the ill will squads are feeling about each other and the ill will and contempt we moderators have had build up over the past 6 months or so. Please remember we're not taking sides here, I know that many of the complaints by one squad over another were perfectly valid complaints about extremely poor behaviour, so I'm loathe to tar you all with the same brush but all I ask is that each and every one of you take a moment to consider the actions of yourselves and your squads and consider if how you're acted towards each other is in the best interests of the "community".

Once you have made your post/thread feel free to use the "report post function" on this post to request its approval, PM'ing any moderator directly or contacting them via IM/Email will result in the pending post/thread being deleted. Sending more than one report about a pending post/thread will also result in it being deleted, "spamming" moderators in this way will also lead to warnings/infractions so best all round if ya don't do it please.

    ***NEW*** Thread Stale Date

Since the number of squads and fan page threads continues to increase and it is becoming hard for users to figure out which squads are still active, we are implementing a stale date policy. Threads in this forum that have not been updated in over a year will be our primary candidates for pruning when we are cleaning the forum. If you do not wish your thread to be considered for deletion, please update your threads at least once per year.

Advertising your squad or fanpage here at the Bohemia Interactive Forums is a privilege not a right! If you can't be bothered to follow our simple rules, we can't be bothered to provide your squad a platform here.
