I don't see why not. It's only fair to females who enjoy ArmA as well, and it fits with a modern (or in this case, near-future) military. The argument about not having women soldiers in Afghanistan is silly because ArmA 3 doesn't take place in Afghanistan, and even then considering the amount of settings that mods and expansions bring to the table, I don't see why there shouldn't be female soldiers even if the primary map was Afghanistan.
It would be nice if we can at least get them as medics... If BI does not want them exposed to binary danger, we could at least get them for our FOB/HQ. A female model dressed in combat fatigues or maybe a T-shirt and combat pants (going for the sexy look). What I'm saying is, don't add them as civilians or if you do add them as civilians make them look like they are part of the military.
TBH I won't complain if we don't see any female in the armed forces... it's just a nice touch, but if esthetics get's in the way of game play diversity I can do without them in the game.

Add them as civillians but make sure they can put a uniform on.
What's the point of that, then you have female soldiers that can't do jack.
