As has been said elsewhere... if it holds back the engine from being as awesome as possible AND actually along the lines of what I can reasonably expect in 2011, then drop backwards compatibility with ARMA 2/OA stuff.
It would be rather shitty to make all the ArmA2 content free just little over a year of having released the reinforcements pack (granted the content has been around for a while but still).

Honestly now, i didnt like how the A2 content wasnt up to the same standard as OA's stuff and i'd prefer if they keep the new game.. new.
How about just ArmA 1 and QG free with a purchase of an ArmA 3 special edition?
