Here is a short list of "free" 3D resources of various
types/formats that I found while researching possible
addons. I'm not sure how useful these will be or how
easy it is to convert them for use in O2 but they might
be useful to someone.

Savage X3D Examples Archive:

The Scenario Authoring and Visualization
for Advanced Graphical Environments (SAVAGE)
Research Group maintains a large archive of dynamic
3D military models and authoring tools, all open source
and built using Extensible 3D (X3D) graphics.

***NOTE: site is HTTPS only (for some reason) & seems
to use an invalid ssl cert (according to chrome).

The site has X3D download links and can use browser plugins
to preview models online.

Apparently, Blender can handle X3D files. Again, I
don't know how useful these models will be but they
might be a starting point for someone
