thanks man - about 95% of the RPT is in-built stuff, nothingto do with the mission.

From your file it looks as though there's someproble mwiththe description.ext butitworks fine forus.

Also a coupleof the scripts that spawn aircraft are reportingproblems, but again they work fine in practice.

Nothing serious there at least.

We have completed this island twice now over a period of 3-4 days scoring 1800 kills etc and it is pretty stable.

ACE breaks it though so beware.

yeah, I was posting the rpt just to be helpful, not from experiencing any issues.

The mission looks great, aside from my low res BAF units!

just another reason to get that DLC on DVD. ;)

yeah we all play with low res baf - butyou're so busy fighting on this mission you don't really have time to notice

yeah easy to do this - we have it already in all the other missions (that aren't landlocked) but the huge base just off the coast is the same in my book...!

How difficult would it be:

To lock the ammo box to a small selection of customisable weapons?

To lock all vehicles so only pilots can fly, engineers can drive, AT can use AT?

Increase the amount of AI at the towns? Make the AI engage at longer distances?

Randomis the towns?

Liking this island, nice and small and runs perfectly. Another great version on Evo on it.

the ranked version does this already - just put the colonel points up to 1200 and you're limited to a small range of weapons

To lock all vehicles so only pilots can fly,

again just set the colonel rank at 1200 and the first guy who is not a pilot

to fly anything useful will need about 800 points

engineers can drive, AT can use AT?

the thing is - in the real military it's a lot more than engineers who drive stuff.

I tried limiting the AT weaponry to AT class before but it had an intermittent failure - weird.

so now you get basic AT weapons with DP ammo, but an AT guy can make a static AT launcher - so this is kind of implemeted

Increase the amount of AI at the towns?

tough because the group count maxes at city 11 already and lags the server a little. we turned it down to rnable the mission to run to completion. in the early versions, like razors, the enemy count was just way too high, so the mission ground to a halt about city 6

turn up their skill to 1 in the config and their precision down to 0.5, we use this and it's great

Randomis the towns?

tough to implement as the updater when people join JIP doesn't always synch. might cause all sorts of weirdness.

might look at this though when we run out of new islands and units to implement

Liking this island, nice and small and runs perfectly. Another great version on Evo on it.

I cannot get this mission to run on a dedicated server. In testing, the server was able to run a listen server using the same mission. When I try to start the mission on the server (selecting it from the mission list on a connected client logged in as server admin) I get a quick black screen that says "Wait for host" then it kicks me right back to the mission list.

Do I need a mod to run this on the server? Any special parameters?
