PMC 05 Elimination - Thermal scope issues in MP

When I host a PMC 05 Elimination game, the thermal scope is never on the AS50. It will either jump to Asano's rifle, or disappear if there are two human players at start.

In SP, it's always on the AS50.

If I am doing this wrong, what do I need to do to correct the problem with the thermal scope?

I haven't played this myself in MP, but I have read here on the forums that this is how it's supposed to be. When playing MP, you're supposed to work as a sniper/spotter team, with Asano using his thermal scope and telling the sniper where to shoot.

Problem is, if two people are in the lobby and start the game, the scope disappears from BOTH guns.
