I also tried switching rvmats and trying a different normal map, and that ended up making a flickering, ugly, white mess. rvmat: http://filesmelt.com/dl/foxus_usarmy1.rvmat textures are mapped to corresponding rvmat and _co. any idea? ---------- Post added at 09:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:42 PM ---------- greaat. max power 21 Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) It unclear what the problem is, and also unclear what your solution was. As for the rvmat, you can probably figure out what the maximum amount of specular you want to show is in the rvmat file, and set the specular colour to that (as I'm sure you don't want the highest specular amount on your uniform to be white, or 'perfectly reflective'). Then you have more tonal range to work with in your smdi file. The biki material templates page suggests your cloth rvmat specular properties should be like specular: 0.03, specular power: 50. Those would be some good values to start, I think. Then you create a smdi map with full tonal range from black to full white, and then you tune the rvmat.
