Need help with steam/retail versions!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just got Operation Arrowhead for christmas, and now I want to buy Arma 2 along with the British forces and PMC downloadable content on steam.

It says the the DLC on steam is for operation arrowhead... so my question is.

Can I get retail OA, and steam Arma 2 + PMC & BAF to work altogether?

This is really confusing and I don't want to have to buy OA again!

Thanks.

I'm afraid maybe it won't work, you know that the DLC which the retail OA support is not the steam version. Because the updates for retail and steam are always different.

I think you should click on the arma picture in the right upper corner and use sprocket.

well all the prices were in british so I just bought combined ops and the DLC off of steam... it was only like an extra 20 for it all.

is it possible to have all four (arma 2, OA, BAF, PMC) to work on one .exe?

I think it's called Steam because it is truly a pile of Steaming shit.

Just tried to download the DLC's and get some BS about not owning ArmA 2 - I've solved the problem by uninstalling Steam 5 mins after installing it - after Half-life 2 and Farcry 2 I should have known better.

:yay:

I really don't know why you don't like Steam so much. I have few games in Steam and they're working well.

I have Arma 2, OA, PMC, and BAF all on steam

Can I make them all run off of one program instead of individually?

Right click on OA in Steam and launch Combined Operations. That'll load A2 and OA together. The DLC should load automatically as well.
