I would hardly call that an update. More of a downgrade. Support BIS, buy AO, it is worth it.any plans to update your existing Warfx for Arma2 at all?
Fix AI in ArmA3
AI knows enemy position at all times, no matter what (incl. video) || AI reflexes are extremely bad in CQB (incl. video) || AI can't see enemies being lit by light at night
Fix realism issues with ArmA3
Sprinting is too fast and instantaneous || It takes 0.1 sec to pull a pin and throw a grenade || The sun is not dangerous (this is NOT for A2 HDR, it's for A1/A2 sun visual) || floating camera when rolling and aiming

what to do when posting any kind of code dammit!!
Any new mission editor or scripter in Arma2 should have read Mr Murrays Editing Guide Deluxe at least once, it still applies for A2 even though it was made for Armed Assault.
I would have got OA in the past but after playing the demo when it came out it really didn't do anything for me,
then reading all the problems people were having I was like forget it, already enough content in Arma2 to play with.
Now that alot of fixes, and cool addons, mods are coming out especially islands, and now Blastcore I think i might consider it,
this is pretty much the same thing i did when Arma 1 came out I waited a couple months as I was to used to OFP, of course one
really cant compare OFP to whats out now, even though I still play it
But money is really tight for me atm, I just got back to work about a month ago, and a half ago after being laid off from a
10 year Carpentry job and then unemployed for almost 2 years which put me into the money hole![]()
Thats when I built WarMod, and A2WarMod, maybe I will get OA when I can and build WarMod for OA and Ask OS if I can include Blastcore in it.
Well i guess you guys didn't really need to read a short novel of my past lifebut I will look into getting OA when I can.
Thanks again OS for all your hard work.
A dream came true !
Thanks so much.

At last, it's out! Brilliant!
I got a bit worried when the previous thread got closed but I must admit I did wonder whether there would be a release for Christmas, and there is!
Hats off to you OS, great job and a great Christmas present to the community.
The British Army will never yield!
Brilliant mod opticalsnare, been waiting for this for a good while and its been worth it.
HD video of the mod can be seen below
One question I have OpticalSnare, if you watch the video through to 42 seconds, you will see all of the smoke effects disappear when the chopper crashes, this bug has been around since WarFX, any idea what causes it?

Its been a problem for me ever since i started making the mod, its a engine limitation that occurs when theres too many particles being generated and it removes the oldest particles before creating new ones. Pain in the ass tbh, the mod is better played on smaller scale missions rather than all out war. I will try and create less particles but its tough finding the right balance between visual and stability.![]()
So I've decided to take my work back underground,
To stop it falling into the wrong hands.
