PMC Transportation Mission

I did a quick search for problems with the 'Transportation' (minigun on the suv) mission in PMC with no luck so I'll start a thread. Anyone have problems once you get to a small town were there is a truck mounted aa or machinegun? Your driver is supposed to make a left hand turn and he just cant do it...runs into buildings, drives over fences, forward and reverse a million times with no obstacles at all nearby. All, of course, with 50 enemies shooting at you from all directions. I suppose what screws it up is that your driver slows and stops every time you fire...Is being a lead magnet until he makes the left the only solution?

No, the solution is to shoot them all before you get into town, then wait 5 minuts for the driver to manuever around the house, over the fences and whatnot, in the meantime you can make coffee, tea..
