Lots of nice guns and weapons selected that I ould love to muck about with. But in my opinion I don't think BIS should make anything that doesn't fit into the 1985 campaign. I liked the new weapons from the weapon pack, but 2 weren't around in 1985 and 1 wasn't in use by either the US or USSR, so only one could fit into the camapaign (oh of course there is the H. grenade launchers too). I rekon we should have lots new weapons, for choice and such, but I think BIS should put thought into whether it fit first. I like the M249 for example, but it didn't enter production until 1990.

for windage & elevation.

A heavy wire guided anti tank weapon would be nice
and ofcourse mortars.

I could agree with ran and Pete when it comes to multiplayer aspect of OFP. But don't forget that OFP is great single player experience and here many assault riflles (even with basically the same characteristics) would play much gerater role than in multiplayer game.
So why M4 when we have m16 with m203?
Simply becouce most of special forces in the use that gun. Let's say we want to create a mission where Seal team attacks guerrillas' camp. M4 with M203 is a MUST for that kind of mission.
Why FN-FAL?
Simply becouse it's a Kalashnikov of free world!
However, the reason why i mentioned "Groza" is much more practical. Western forces have 3 scoped assault rifles, and Russians don't have any. Think that would improve even multiplayer games.

Sure I agree that OFP needs more heavy MGs and AT/AA guns or even large caliber sniper rifles, but I'm kind of assault weapons freak and that's my view.
