Turn out / Turn in oddity

Is it just me or does Turn Out sometimes take you to the 3rd person view, and more rarely take you to the expected view with your head sticking out of a port in the vehicle? I was driving a LAV25 the other night in Odens Warfare and it always seemed to go to 3rd person view. Is there any rhyme or reason?

I too have had this issue. I just press enter on the numpad after pressing turn out. Should go to the first-person outside view.

hit the "0" or "enter" key on your number pad. If 3rd person is enabled, often enough it'll throw you into that view when you go to turn out. Also sometimes you have a fixed zoomed view, the "enter" key on your number pad should fix that as well. It's been like this since ArmA1, maybe even OFP (dunno as I didn't jump into the series until late into ArmA1)

Thought I tried that, but I'll try again.

Yep some combination of Num0 and NumEnter usually does it.

Speaking of turning out, has anyone noticed with the new BAF Warrior IFV that the commander can be turned out while the gunner can still aim and traverse the turret?

Makes for some awesome armoured vehicle action and makes detecting and assigning targets a lot easier. I'd love it if this could be added to other tanks.

What about the driver? Can he turn out on warrior and if so does the gun still move?
