AA2 on SSD, another question, SSD Users please come in.

I know that there is a post talking about SSD performance, a very long one.

But it seems that no one has ever asked such a question:

If I buy a intel 80gb x-25 ssd and I install 79.5gb data into it, not only AA2,but also other games, will the random read speed IOPS be the same if I only install 20gb data into it???

The reason I ask this is that we all know most SSD use internal raid0 to speed read and write, but if the space is almost used up, what will happen to the speed?

Do hope those who are using SSD to tell us the result.

Reports are that only write speed drops off when an SSD gets nearly full, but write speed isn't why we bought these. Read speed seems unaffected. I would say at this point that 1.07 patch really helped HDD users catch up a lot and I hope the upcoming patch for OA will do the same.

You should note that the formatted capacity of that drive is rather less that 80GB. IIRC, and I'm not at that machine right now, mine is 76 GB.
