Need advise on new hardware configuration for AO

Hopefully some one can assist me, I have 2 x OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SATA SSD's and OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) (240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600) memory arriving tomorrow. I have been having nothing but problems with Arma 2 and OA since getting my gaming rig.

Should I create a Raid 0? Use the RamDisk method? Or keep my OS on the current SSD and add the 2 additional SSD's as a Raid 0?

My biggest issue is the texture popping, tried everything except for the Ramdisk idea. No luck, I can't take much more of it.

Any ideas? Current rig before hardware arrival:

    My current rig:

    Windows 7 x64
    i7 930 ~ 4.0
    6 GB OCZ Memory
    X58 LE Board
    60BG OCZ Vertez OCZ
    150GB HDD
    2 x XFX 5870's 1GB each in Crossfire
    X50 water cooling

Honestly your system should be more than sufficient for running the game at pretty much max settings. There's always going to be some texture popping, I think, to some degree. You could try a RAMdisk if you want, but an SSD (or two in RAID 0) should be sufficiently fast such that you're not limited on the disk I/O front.
    Core i7 920 @ 3.995 GHz, HT off
    12 GB OCZ DDR3-1600
    GTX 680
    2x Intel X25-M 80 GB SSD
    Windows 7 Pro x64

    ArmA2/OA Settings:
    1920x1080 w/ View Distance at ~3600
    Video Memory at Default
MSAA Very High, AToC=0, SMAA Ultra
    Post Processing at Very Low
All other settings at Very High

    Maverick,

Thanks for the response, I do not know why my system is having issues, I understand the texture popping, but just moving a foot or two and the grass completely changing and other issues makes me wonder why my system cant handle the game.

The texture goes from low detail to high detail in about a second, no smooth transition at all.

Also if you are not using it, try setting Video Memory at Default. That helped with texture LOD issues for me a bit.
