Hello BI community, I have come to a stand-still. I'm not the most technically inclined, but I've spent my fair share with servers and networking.I come to you today with a issue(s) that is unresolved on my end, and I have resulted to having to post a thread on my findings. So without haste, I will begin the technical behalf of this thread.
-Thank you for participating.

I will begin by showing my process of creation:

1. Acquired server package (a2-server-1.11.87389.tar)
2. Installed fresh OA on laptop - Then proceeded to FTP to local Server tower.
3. Prior to OA directory being installed to (/home/****/arma2arrowhead) I then upload the server package to the same folder.
4. Unpacked the Package using the specific command - (tar -xjf a2-server-1.11*)
5. Then I use the command "./install" and then I run "./tolower"
6. Now I attempt to use the "./server" file. Here's where I run into issues, and where I am unable to proceed to continue. Here is my log file of me attempting "./server"
http://pastebin.com/NEV42w8i

I have troubleshooted alot of things in my life, but I simply cannot find the adiquate documentation to help me proceed. I ABSOLUTELY appreciate all the help I can get, and again thanks all to who participate.

I have Server running Benny's warfare missions max slots set to 24,

Problem: On Town activation there is huge desync spike, i'm guessing server trying to send to many packets at ones and kills overhead!
You can clearly see the spikes here, that was about with 5 people.

What i can do fix this?

Limit Maxmessagesent and increase packet size? Or other way around, iv been playing with 100's of different parameters and yet to find any solution.

Server network config is:

MinBandwidth=71457280;
MaxBandwidth=322428800;
MaxMsgSend=1024;
MaxSizeGuaranteed=1024;
MaxSizeNonguaranteed=512;
MinErrorToSend=0.0060000001;
MinErrorToSendNear=0.0099999998;

Server cpu is E5 3.2 ghz 20 mb cache with 60 mbit upload

I am using the TA2DST to launch my A2 servers from my dedi. When I go to the missions or the mods tab(s) and I singleclick (or doubleclick) on one of the boxes, it functions as if I am longholding the primary mouse button. In other words when I click on the box(s) it doesnt check off any of the mods or missions. It holds the mod or mission I clicked on and moves anywhere I move the mouse (within the window of the TA2DST). The only option then is for me to end TA2DST in task manager and start over.

I attempted to completely re-install TA2DST, still the same thing. I am using RDC remote desktop connection. Currently running servers off of SixUpdater. If anyone can help me resolve my issue, it would be greatly appreciated as TA2DST is a very user friendly tool for managing arma servers.

I was having a read over http://forums.bistudio.com/showthrea...rver-Read-here!

Id like to make sure my settings are correct hence this post, since moving/copying files battle eye is off even though its set to one and the server name doesnt show, instead it shows domain name.

Ive added this to the arma2oaserver script

Code:

OTHERPARAMS="-beta=expansion/beta;expansion/beta/expansion -cfg=./arma2.cfg -cpucount=2 -maxMem=1500 -bepath=/home/aaa/battleye112/beserver.so -profiles=/home/aaa/players112 -config=/home/aaa./server112.cfg"

Ive renamed the original files and also copyed them over to a new directory keeping the original ones were there are.

Is the above correct?

I finally got a server up and running on my dedicated box after much flailing and quiet swearing at the screen in front of me (it knew what it was doing), however, it seems to be ignoring the config file altogether.

It looks like it's defaulting to 64 players, and is not using the supplied server name and password.

I'm not entirely sure what you need to help me, but this is the first two lines in the config parameters of the arma2oaserver file that was included in the linux server files:

ARMA_DIR=/arma2oa
CONFIG=/server.cfg

I searched on the forums for something similar to this problem, but I had no luck. I'm sure someone will find a post in half a minute and yell at me.

Thanks,
racer0940

Edit: I think when I'm using the ./server command, it's not even looking at my arma2oaserver file, I tried to change the port, just to see if the text on screen would show the different port, but it stayed on 2302.

So I'm not sure if my problem lies somewhere other than my original thoughts.
