Shocking and very sad news.
May you rest in peace, my prayers are with you and your family.
Devastating news, my condolences go out to his family, I recruited him myself to become a moderator here and he did an excellent job, I chatted to him a fair bit over the last couple of years and he never complained or let on in any way he was ill, just got on with the job at hand, that to me is the epitome of a hero, no matter what crap the world throws at you, you carry on doing what you love. Respects my friend.

I was never close to Planck but I have talked to him and seen him around for all those OFP/ArmA years. Its a damn shame for someone from out close community to pass away.
He was even so kind as to answer my question only a few weeks ago (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=96488). Its strange how someone can be there one minute, and gone the next.
A sad day for the community. Rest in Peace Planck, you will be missed.
definitely bad news as he was posting just some days ago ...
RIP and condolence to his family and friends ...
he will be missed by our community ...

I agree with Placebo. Planck was a hero to many. I remember how much he inspired me to get into editing back in OFP's glory days. That he continued to be such a great contributor to the community right until his last moments is extremely touching.
A sad day for all of us indeed.
Very sad news.
Condolences to the family, friends and relatives.

Wow, that is very bad news.
I will always remember him as one of the key members of the OFPEC team. In the days when OFPEC was going down hill he was one of the key people to stand up and be willing to keep on going. He was important in keeping the more temperament-full people like Bedges and myself from blowing up OFPEC over trivial feuds, petty brawls and minor setbacks. Thereby allowing OFPEC to survive an thrive. To you sir, I take my had off. You will be remembered and missed.

I'm glad I was able to thank him for all of his personal help and tutelage before he passed on. As I got to know him more, I was frequently astounded at discovering his contributions to the community. He did the OFPEC COMREF, the OFP object list (including screenshots!), work on the biki as well as house keeping. Mr Burns's words ring quite true. It's easy to take advantage of those resources without realizing the work that went into them. The work he did on them was not only important, I think it could be considered essential to the mod community as we know it.
Farewell, Planck, and thanks.

It's very sad news that our fellow community member and friend who devoted many hours of his precious life to our community passed away
Although I did not know him personally or as well as all of you guys I know about some things he did for the community, I learned some things from reading this thread and I will definitely find out more about what he has done.
My condolences to his friends and family, it is a great loss for the community and for everyone who knew him and loved him.
Rest in peace our friend and brother, I hope that now you will have no more tears or pain beside Gods side, one day we will all meet you in heaven but until that day our community will remain strong and follow in your footsteps by doing what we all love and what you loved, playing and modding our favourite game, you will always be remembered!
As a tribute and reminder to you and the commitment that you have given to the community I will make a memorial for you on my island Taviana, in the game that you loved so much.

It's very sad when someone passes who shared a common interest or in this case, a common passion and that person contributes so much so that others can enjoy that passion. It creates a bond even if I didn't know the man personally. I remember his straight-from-the-hip answers and thought what a great asset he was to the community. My helmet's off to you, Planck!

Although I am not really active within the ArmA 2 community. I am saddened by this news. It is always bad to hear that someone died, but making him a very valuable, respected and needed person within the community makes it even worse.
My sincere condolences to the family, I hope Paul, and his other relatives will be able to accept and handle his unfortunate death some day in the future. I hope his family may find rest by the lot of good he has done for our community.
Although I don't say prayers very often; my mind, thoughts, prayers and condolances are with his family.

He helped me make terrains of the U.S. Military's Joint Readiness Training Center (when it was at Fort Chaffee, AR) and the Sinai Peninsula. : ( He was a Wiz with DEM data.
Here's video of the latter... (Don't download if you can't handle the data transfer.)
