No OC for me.

a) I know how to do it. Been aware of it since the P75-P90 days.

b) I have no burning desire to be l337.

c) It will cost you more to buy the fans/coolers/case mods than to buy a faster processor.

Yeah, I OC'd in the past. But that was when you could save some big bucks by doing it. Now it's just saving a few dollars. And OC'd systems are generally less stable as well. But that's just my opinion.

Nah. My cooling system would support that I cranked it up 10-15% (I have a 1.3 Ghz T-Bird), but I don't see why I should give up stability for that. Processors are so cheap these days, and I have no need for anything stronger right now.

Im running my 1.0 ghz T-bird at 1.17ghz.

100mhz OC at the processor and 77 at the FSB.. so my ram and everything is running faster too, not just the processor.. my system benchmarks as high as a 1.3.

never had any stability issues, because I keep my temp down. bought a soho file server case that has fantastic cooling.. its the same case the alien-ware losers put stupid names on and try to sell for a retarded price.

Oooh. The Enermax/Antec case. You have the one with the locking door over the drive bays?

I'm of the same opinion as Denoir..just spend the extra few bucks on the faster processor.

Though I would love to try some funky overclocking on a P4.
I've heard the 1.6 is a mad overclocking chip
