Looking for a mentor

Looking for a mentor to get into map editing, someone with some experience with making new islands from scratch. I want to "pitch" my idea to someone and have them give feedback on if its possible, given certain parameters, with possible advice on how to implement it.

Also wondering, is there an IRC channel for ARMA 2 editing in general?
