Before you go yelling at me, I have searched the board and haven't been able to find this specific problem.

The problem I'm having is that whenever I attempt to use a laser designator, wether it be the handheld version or the one on the OH-58, the game crashes to the desktop with no error message. I can take the laser off the soldiers back and activate it in the OH-58, but as soon as a "fire" it, then it crashes. Anyone having this problem or is it just me? This is very annoying... Oh, I should mention, I was using both types of laser designators on a small mission I created with just me (the laser soldier) and a few armored vehicles. Is there something special that has to be put into the level for the game not to crash when I use the laser?

Oh yeah... this is also a fresh installation. Installed version 1.0 upgrade to 1.10 upgrade to 1.20 upgrade to 1.30.

You not alone Matt, many people (myself included) have experienced the same thing. We have actually posted messages about this before but it's obvious the search engine didn't pick it up when you tried.

At the moment, there is no fix for it. Even a complete re-installation doesn't help.

Matt....

You say you upgraded like this.

from 1.0 to 1.10 to 1.20 to 1.30.

You should have done this...

1.0 to 1.20 to 1.30.

Try that and see if you are still having problems.
the 1.20 patch includes 1.10. There is no need for it.

I don't know if that will help you in any way at all....

But just in case.... Give it a go anyway.

Report back here with your results.

That's still a clean install. People who bought 1.20 and upgraded straight and clean to 1.30 are also experiencing this problem.
