I need a flat island, basics!

Well I have gone over the tutorials available but still can't get my head around how to create an island from scratch.

All I want is flat square piece of land, size does not matter really, the base texture, ground texture, ground colour; whatever you want to call it - needs to be solid yellow (one colour, nothing else,). There are no objects or roads or vegetation.

All these tutorials run around telling me about rvmats etc etc etc! I don't care, I don't want an rvmat because I want a very simple flat surface.

Help, even an example pre-made, would be appreciated.

5x5 would be fine mate and the "fancy vivid yellow" colour looks perfect. I'll have a look at how you've done it so I can learn the right way. Thanks Ice.

Im kind off in the same boat as mr sarkey... i want to attempt to build an island, maybe north south island of nz [DREAMING] i got all the BIS tools loaded in its own drive etc... just unsure on where to begin, is oxygen sposed to be used in conjunction with the editor?

Ah, a number of things really, at the most basic level, it would be a level testing field for video compositing experiments.

I'm working on some new video stuff and I need a blank canvas to play.

Render island is without textures so its not possible to change the colour.
