New CTF League opening its doors, call in and register

Introducing the APL (Arma2 Pvp League)

The APL is now opening registration for ARMA2 clans to join our all new PVP League. Starting in November, the APL will start showcasing the talent of the best ARMA2 clans in a fight for glory.

For season 1, the APL will be 2 x 30 min rounds in any of the CTF maps available from the APL map pack. Teams will play each other twice during the season and the team at the top of the table at the end will be crowned APL champions.

If you think your team is good enough and you miss the competitive nature that a league offers, visit us at Arma Pvp League (http://armaleague.com) to register your team, view the rules or chat on the forums. You can also email admin@armaleague.com for more interest.

We look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.

Ahh ok - no it can get sometime messy in here. Just trying to help out mate.

I hope you get the ladder working - is it going to be all CTF maps?

Season one is CTF only because we couldnt see any other CTF leagues out there, with season 2 hopefully incorporating a few other modes, AAS and attack and defend are 2 that we are looking at, with a mix of maps to be played, CTF and AAS, or CTF and ATTack and defend, etc... We may run a Tourney in between season 1 and 2,,, We wanted to get some competitive CTF action going on but couldnt find a league to suit us, So the next best thing was to have a go and start our own.... in its infancy at present but we do have a LOT of ideas as to where its going.

(sorry if I sounded off but i was having a bad day, already had an infraction over the incorrect post :()

Where are the the rules? You asked us to visit the site to view them but I can't see them.

Is this Euro or NA/SA?

There is a link across the top banner called 'league rules' and on the side banner.

its for anyone really but i suspect the majority will be uk/eu so matches would probably be evenings cet or gmt.

Nope, don't see either link. Tiss why I asked.

No matter, our group is NA. You really should post that small, but vital piece of info. If the league is primarily centered around the GMT time zone, that's a 4-7 hr. shift to NA. That's kinda significant.

You are having a ladder or not? Does it make sense to deny teams access at any point.

Cheers matey,, thats jumped to 14 now, like you said all respected teams, I think its the CTF side of things, ofp started as CTF and multiplay was either cTF or coop so a lot of teams have been at it for a long time and are committed which what we need. Just need to keep the momentum now.

We Now have a Dedicated Match server supplied by www.Milsim-servers.co.uk

So if there are any teams out there without a server, Use of a very fast Uk based server is available.

You only have 2 days to go and registration will be closed, we have to get on with the Match schedules.

If only ArmA2 had recording/broadcasting capabilities :(

sbsmac
Oct 26 2009, 10:03
Does xFire video broadcast work with ArmA2 ? All armaleague maps have spectator slots and I love the idea of broadcasting some of the matches. :-) Even better would be if BIS included a proper AAR feature .... always thought this game would be a much better spectator sport than the faster-paced FPS's.

How do you believe SC broadcasting works:
