patch wont install - please insert correct cd

tried ultimate upgrade - still wont work, and game is real before anyone says anything

I have tried both of the items suggest in the above posts.... but I am still having the same problem.... still get please insert correct cd-rom. This despite the cd is within my cd-rom drive and is an original copy of the game. I managed to install the game successfully this problem is only happening when I go to upgrade

read the faq, no help there as i have a nice and simple sony cd-rom drive. and i have ran the install checker and it says that all files are in order.

any help !

Did you check your system's ASPI level? This will most likely NOT be done by Sony's install checker.

how do i do that, i didnt get the adaptec thing as i wasnt sure if that was just for adaptec drives

well it seems you do need the funny adaptec software to get it working :/

help i am at a loss
faq did not help i upgraded my 4in1 via drivers checked the aspi software, did not upgrade because of the warning about media player 7, checked and unchecked
dma setings for cd and hardrives,the game won 't patch and the error is always cannot find the cd restart the application. I am not a computer wizard just a hobby
Can someone help me out???

Could you give us a link to the warning regarding Media Flayer 7?

click on this faq (yelow)
