DirextX 8.1 and Avon Lady\'s Tweak

Is it necessary to redo the tweak after installing DirectX 8.1?

no, I have noticed that the sound debug remains at 0
(if thats what your refering to)

Not to put too fine a point on it, but 8.1 has sound debug set to 0 by default.

might be that, but I know that 8.0a had the debug on, and when I set this old machines DirX7 debug to zero and then later that week upgraded to 8.0a it was still off

so it's hard to tell unless there was discussion on it some where

I seem to recall seeing someone on one of the PC tech forums saying that MS was going to fix that problem in the next DX release, which is today's 8.1. I'll make a note about that.
