War Hawks is opening recruitment for active and mature players!
We mainly play coops/tactical realism games. We strive to maintain the highest level of realism possible in a PC simulator. War Hawks was started as a flight simulator community. We play IL2: Sturmovik, DCS: Blackshark, and Rise of Flight, as well as a burgeoning new ArmA II element.
Our co-ops have been gaining popularity and hosting War Hawks - Recruiting servers has found us some very good recruits. Whenever you see us online drop in! Everyone is welcome, we do not discriminate on experience or age. Just a positive and mature attitude is required.
We have a membership comprised of individuals 18 - 55+ and former military personnel. However, we are not a strict MilSim squadron, as of now we do not use ranks or titles and the squadron is run democratically through votes. Everyone has there say and can setup squad events!
War Hawks Minimum Requirements
No Minimum Age, as long as you are "mature"
The War Hawks offers the following:
Training Sessions in all of our games!
Nightly ArmA II Coops
War Hawks is a new fast growing sim community that is interested in tactical realism and teamwork. We do not play as a squad of lone wolves, we work together.

There is a recruitment page with an application.

~S~ Greetings all,
We've put together a short video to show some of our activities over the last couple of weeks. Like Wallace said, we're always looking for like minded mature folks to share our gaming time with, whether thats in any of the flight sims we support or ArmA 2.

What we require:
While we are not the traditional definition of hardcore -- many of us have a busy real life that does not allow for unlimited game-time -- we do focus on full switch difficulty settings with limited mods enabled.. We care about the game; we want to progress our skills and share in the enjoyment of the sims we support. We are therefore driven, organized and dedicated and want members that share similar drive. We have no rules or expectations about how much time one should spend in game, but we do want people who try to contribute in the time that they do spend.
We are a community of friends of all ages and backgrounds that will survive comings and goings of on-line games and promote true friendships that will be enjoyed for years to come. We want people who are social and are fun to play with. Being fun on comms is a plus. Being active in the forums is an asset.
Intelligence and Ability:
We want players who are willing to learn, so that they can eventually be as skilled as possible. It matters not if you've played a particular game for years and years, or just bought it. Everyone should always be willing to learn, including the old crusty veterans.
***We also favor those who can spell and use full sentences.***
Hope to see you soon,

Greetings and salutations all,
This week we've registered our 50th and 51st member to join our squadron. If you are looking for a mature, gaming group to enjoy ArmA 2, or any of the flight sims we support, look no further than the War-Hawks.Net (http://war-hawks.net)
Our weekly co-op campaign is off and running with missions being held on Friday evenings with the briefing starting at 8:30PM Eastern. (The briefing is usually given by our very own active military USMC officer, WH_WolfP, and is worth the price of admission)
Check us out at the above link, and if having fun sounds good to you, join today.

Just a quick post to let folks know we are always looking for folks (70+ members now) that enjoy playing ArmA2 as a sim rather than a run and gun FPS. And that we are now running the ACE2 mod on our dedicated server.
We typically run small unit style mission for our squad only events, but from time to time we do open up the server as a recruiting tool to let folks see just how we operate.
If you are interested in joining a well established, mature group of folks that enjoy multiple sims, such as ArmA2, Blackshark, IL2, Rise of Flight, and even a few folks flying Falcon 4: Allied Forces, then check us out at:

This post is to inform the community we are again recruiting for mature ARMA2 players who enjoy small unit co-op style play.
Our missions typically run around 60 to 90 minutes and do require teamwork and coordination to complete successfully.
If this sounds interesting to you, check us out at:

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Thanks for posting this announcement Boomer. As a member of the War Hawks I can assure anyone interested in joining us that the War Hawks are a uniquely mature and intelligently flexible online simming club. While we have scheduled events all members are equally empowered to create their own events and create missions that the other members will join it with. The lack of a leadership structure has worked very well with all members sharing an equal sense of ownership in the club. My experience with the War Hawks has been very pleasurable and I encourage others to at least give us a try.

Last friday really showed how important teamwork is, that mission put us up against human wave attacks, awesome! The overwatch really helped, great mission Boomer.
We do not allow any discussion in the squad advertisement threads. Any irrelevant posts, especially those who are just for bumping the thread will be removed soon.
