OFP FREEZE

Hi, let me start by mentioning my system:

-AMD Athalon 1.4, 256 DDR Ram, Asus A7M266 (AMD Chipset)
-ATi Radeon 8500 64M DDR
-Windows XP
-Direct X 8.1

When I try to play OFP and I enter the game`s main menu it works for a few seconds and then freezes. CTRL-ALT-DEL will not even work. I am wondering if this is a problem with windows XP?? Anything I can do to get it working would greatly be appreciated!

Dunno if it's the same prob, but i have an ati card that freezes ofp with certain options such as Hardware T&L.
Try changin' a little the parameters in Ofp configurator.

Search The FAQ (http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/) for "AGP" and see if any of the items listed may help.

Try changing from AGP 4x to 2x. That took care of my freezing issues.
