Hey guys.

I'm an experienced player coming back from a long hiatus from playing ArmA. I'm an experienced player from a number of different areas, I've been a 1iC (section commander) in 2 large platoons, a Squad Leader in a small tactical operations outfit as well as standard infantry in a few other groups. I've also been a pilot in 2 squads, primarily as a helo pilot but I can fly fixed-wing proficiently as well.

Probably my preferred roles are as an Auto. Rifleman/MGunner, Section lead or as a Pilot, but I'm willing to slot in anywhere on a roster.

I've got a fairly laid back view on the game as a whole, I do take it seriously when I need to but I appreciate the banter and the having fun that's essential and generally comes with playing together with people.

I'm from the UK, currently at university, but my playing schedule is pretty much any time other than a Saturday (and occasionally) Friday evenings. I'm on my PC until about 3am most nights so if I fit inside this time schedule for you I'm happy to play. (I think 2am = 7pm on the East Coast of the US? I can probably play for an American group if you're happy with a tired player).

If you require or want any additional information feel free to PM me, I don't bite, and I look forward to playing with some of you in the future (fingers crossed eh?)

hey my screen nic is Grilled and I'm looking for a squad.
I got into arms a few months back for dayz and got over it really fast. but I recently discovered the real fun in arma 2. I have been playing for a couple of weeks now and I feel competent with a gun (I have also been practising with choppers, but I would quite trust me to air life people yet) a bunch of my friends all got the game with me for dayz but when dayz started to get boring the all ditched the game, despite attempts to get them into the real thing. I have no problem taking orders, but I like to goof off sometimes. I'm willing to help in the creation of missions I have been having fun setting up a few myself (ied bombed patrols, trapped soldiers with enemies moving in) nothing fancy but it entertained for a bit. I'm trying to sharpen my skills so you can expect me to get better.
to be frank im sick of needing to feed orders through the system set up in the game its alright but nothing compares to being able to fight side by side with someone you can communicate with in real time and understands the situation a little better
any replies would be nice

Age: 22
Timezone: Eastern US (GMT -5)
Schedule: N/A; I play a lot every day. 8+ hours per day maybe?
Experience: Not very much. I bought ArmA 2 for DayZ and have only just started playing actual ArmA 2. So far I really like it and am amazed how much more attention DayZ receives over ArmA 2. I've done about two coop missions. I know the controls and all that thanks to my time playing DayZ, but I'd have to get used to using ACRE and other mods if your team uses them. Not a big deal though.
Additional Info: I own ArmA 2, ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead, and the other DLCs as well. I have Six Updater and installing mods like ACE or ACRE should be no problem because of it. In all honesty, I'd kind of prefer using it because it's just such a nice addition to the game IMO.

So yeah. Generally looking for a team ASAP so I can start playing! Just send me a Private Message about your team and how I can join ya. Stuff like that. If I respond, that means I'm interested! If I don't respond, don't take it personal. Your team's playstyle or whatever probably wasn't what I was looking for.

Thanks to all recruiters in advance!

Style: I prefer piloting (and love them to death) Helicopters, but until I get a joystick It's a bit harder to do with the keyboard without further practice. I am more of a recon, sniper but also do not mind CQC or Assault on occasion so I am a bit spread out in what I can do efficiently. I play tactically and always will. (Until further practice with the helicopters, I would rather let someone else more experienced pilot them as I have not touched a helicopter sim for quite some time)

Looking For: A squad with adults only, Teamspeak/Ventrillo/Mumbo etc or the use of actual in-game chat function. Mature players who know how to have fun and also take things seriously. Immature is alright as long as it is to a certain degree and not all the time since it can be taking too far for some. A squad that is heavy in tactics, and can carry on from Arma 2 to Arma 3 with.

Experience: I just got the Arma X a couple days ago, I have not played Arma since Armed Assault and even though I got this game late and awaiting for Arma 3, figured I would get back into it. I am not that experienced in the way Arma's game mechanics are since Armed Assault and a bit rusty but I am working on the tutorials. I listen to orders, I call out contacts, tangos. I clear my sectors and know when and how to use my cover or to drop prone. I scope out places before entering as well. I do know what I am doing though by using my brain/common sense, but some of the game mechanics I am still learning.

Hey there, as you see in the title, I'm looking for players. You're probably wondering what for? Well really I'd just like some players in Domination. For a long time me and my good friend have been playing Domination just the two of us, while it is fun, we would like to branch out and find more players who also enjoy Domination and possibly other game-types. If you are interested, anyone can come play as long as you aren't a complete idiot. Reply below, add me on skype at maxwell.meyer.taco, or email me at NE1NT33N@<hidden>

Oh and by the way, we use ACE to play Domination and I have left some vehicles to spawn at the start without having to unlock them.

Hi,

i'm looking to join a squad of mature gamers that don't take the game too seriously and can have a laugh. As much as I enjoy playing military simulations, I tend to agree with the fellow above. My days of yes sir, no sirs are over. I'm UK based and predominantly play infantry/rifleman/marksman. I've just recently started playing ArmA2 because I was looking for a new challenge and getting a bit bored of the point and click shooters that rarely include teamwork. So if your looking for a half decent ageing infantryman please don't hesitate to respond.

Thanks

Where to start... I live in USA and Reality is my game.. Ha ha, I am not all about rules and regulations. I like to have fun an joke around, but when it comes to attacking an planning an being stealthy.. That is a more serious matter.
Love teamwork and team-play games... I am new to Arma 2 world, so maybe another fellow newbie would care to hang out an learn the game together. I am mature, 25 yrs old. Am willing to play most any mod or mods that are out there. please message me anytime, Easter Standard is my timezone. I am usually always on, email me(zak1122@<hidden>) or message me on this.

I am not after a huge firefight or stuff like that, I have other games that suit that just fine. I like stealthy and slow paced games where we take time, and plan attacks/defenses.

More direct and to the point, I am here to have fun and enjoy team-play and have some fun battles either in CO-OP against AI or other players. I prefer using voice communication, let me know which program.
Just give me some time to get acclimated to the game and I guarantee I'll be one of the best online buddies you'll have...
As long as you are mature...
some of the time. :p

Mature,responsible,good teamwork.

I'm new to Arma 2 (I've been playing for about four months now). I have zero experiance in teams or formal military groups (both IRL and gaming related). I own Arma 2 CO, a microphone, and I can get my hands on the certain mods that seem to be essential to team play.

I would like to join a large regiment or battalion. I can roughly fly planes, jets, and helicopters. With some training I'm positive I can become an excellent pilot. Infantry wise, I can assume the role of machine gunner and squad support.

Available to dedicate 3-4 hours into service most weeks. Most likely more.
Send me a pm if you are looking to recruit!

Well hello all, where to start! most of you will think of this as a downfall but yes, i am 12 years old(AND VERY MATURE).BUT, i am not the kind of 12 year old who screams down the mic saying "OMG I GOT A KILL GUYZZZZ". i find that annoying and VERY stupid. Please dont reject me from your clan because of this stereotype.

I am from The United Kingdom, the UK, England whatever you want to call it. I also speak very very very little french.

i love MILSIM, and i cant stop watching tactical and realistic gameplay of arma 2. its just so awesome! i dont mind any clan, just one that is realistic. i would like to be an Automatic Rifileman, as i not very good giving decisive orders out to fellow players. Any mods i am willing to download, especially ACE and ACRE as i find it gives the game a more realistic touch.

So if any kind souls want to PM me or send me an Email, then please do it right away!

Email:ciaranconnoley@<hidden>

What I'd like to join: I'd like to join a relaxed group of players who don't require alot of mandatory practice as my schedule is fairly hectic. I do not want to join a very uptight "MILSIM" group, but I want to have some tactics in place.

Hello,

I am coming to ArmA2 from PR:BF2. I have been a member of TG-Irr since 06.

I am just cutting my teeth on this game, but the public MP seems to be a mess.

I am looking for a group of folks who do regular play Saturday evenings.

I can contribute to the community with my technical expertise.

PM or email if a fit.

Thanks

Looking for a couple of guys to play COOP with. I'm not really into the whole "professional, elitist" squads; too serious for me. Yet, I want to play with some guys who actually take the game seriously, know what they are doing, and know how to be tactical. I've been working a lot with editing lately, so if you want to do custom missions, I'm sure I can fire up something if you don't have any or don't want to play the prepackaged missions. Message me.

Type of group you want to join; (realism, tactical, DayZ, PvP)

Me and my friend decided to join an Opfor, original unit called the KPA. We've had awesome time how ever the unit was shortly disbanded within the weak as the leader could not lead anymore. This left Myself and 3 other guys looking for a unit.

2 of us are EU timezone, the other 2 are in the US. We are looking for an English speaking Opfor Milsim unit. TvT or COOP, we enjoyed playing as the Koreans People Republic (for something fresh) and we want to continue playing as Opfor. Russia, or even insurgents. Please PM me if you are such a unit. If you are Blue, you can try PMing but don't expect a reply.

For a direct response you can add me on steam: Diego1255

Hi.
I'm looking for a team that has a good base, Knows there stuff. And have a mid size to very large player base. 20+
Avid gamer.
27 years of age.
Danish
Great English.
Timezone: EU (GTM +1)
Played Operation Flashpoint but i never really got into it since non of my friends played it at that time.
I bought Arma 2 when it came out but i never really got the hang of it, And a having a PC that can't run the game at that time really affected my dession not to play it.

I started playing Arma 2 again when the DayZ wave came. At that time i started to play Arma 2 missions from armaholics with friends and did some fiddle of my own with missions. But its tough to master.

I play Milsim my self in Denmark where i live, Though in the recent years i started more to be the Game master/Admin at the games.
But when i do come out and play its usually in the role of a NCO depending on the size of the game and the amount of players.
If not. Then im the medic depending on who we got on the team.

Hope to hear from any teams.
Thomas.

Looking for a realism unit to join. Not a too serious one, where I have to say "sir" every 5 minutes. I also can't be on every second of everyday, and I need a unit that won't kick me out because I didn't show up to a mandatory practice or mission on a Saturday night. That being said I don't mind a unit with a rank structure, I'd prefer if the unit had an age limit of over 18, and I can follow orders. If your interested PM me and I will respond ASAP. (And if you message me there is something I will ask about some help I need with the addons if need be)

Looking for a pilot position(rotary-wing aircraft preferably)on a serious mil-sim clan/squad.I have experience from another clan on wich I was 9 months,I'd prefer tha clan to be based on EU so I won't have any issues with the practice time etc.I've been playing arma for 2 years,so I believe I have enough flight experience join a high-standards clan/squad.

I'm looking for a clan that has at least some degree of tactical realism, and has a loose set of rules, and most importantly one that doesn't enforce voice chat and mandatory playing at certain times. I want a clan that plays primarily on Chernarus, and preferably using the "alternative" factions i.e. (CDF/NAPA/ChDKZ), but if none are available I'll accept more "mainstream" factions. My timezone is in EST, but I hope we can sync the time so we can play together. I'm okay with either COOP and PVP, but I want something with realistic or even story-based missions; I wouldn't generally play more "game"-oriented modes like CTF and Deathmatch, but I'll accept them once in a while. I'm not very good with vehicles, but I can ride a heli and/or drive a truck if the situation requires it. If you're interested in me, just PM me and I'll PM you back (though I doubt anyone will anytime soon).

-Was a Apache Pilot/Gunner in charge of CAS and Intel feeding to the unit{ giving grid coordinates, enemy strength, "eye in the sky guy"(2011-2012 I think?)}
and if they didn't need the Apache, they would put me in a SPG the M109 Paladin to artillery the Shit out of.

What I'd like to join: Realism unit,(CO-OP) it doesn't bother me if its hyper Milsim or more of a easy going unit as long as there still elements of realism.

Position the Unit: Helo pilot/gunner (attack or transport) / SPG or ACE Artillery.

Unit MUST have: ACE,ACRE.

I know most of the units want new players start as grunts but I would like to think I have sufficient know how of the positions I asked for.

Well hello all. A brief introduction is in order.
I'm a 23 year old living in the US East Time Zone and I'm available to play most evenings.
I have played an enormous variety of military games, and I also actively play paintball, as such I have a good sense of teamwork and a decent grasp of basic and intermediate military tactics and procedures.
Some relevant game skills include:

Flying and landing of all in-game aircraft.
Good surveillance, recon, infiltration and HVT capture/kill techniques. Silenced weapons is the name of my game and its my favorite play style.
I'm an OK leader, but I rather not. Being responsible for the survival of my team in game is stressful (sounds silly I know).

I would like to join a group of mature players that:
Are active around evenings in the US East TZ
Share my spec ops/disruption play style.
Are not crazy-egocentric-yelling kids/adults.
Want to have fun, not arguments over voice chat.

I can usually be found playing wasteland and random coop missions.
I'm very picky about who I associate myself with, and so should you. Ask questions.
Mass recruiting spammers need not reply.

Hello!
As you can see i'm known as Reher. I am looking for an ACE/ACRE tactical realism unit.
I have years of experience of playing with these kinds of units including experience in leading both on fire team level and on officer/platoon level if it comes in handy, but would rather be a fire team member.
Having used ACE/ACRE for about two years i am confident in how most of it works.
I would primarily like to be part of an infantry team but i also have experience with most of the vehicles(however more familiar with helos than jets and tanks/APCs).
I prefer Co-Op missions, be they insurgency or unit tailored scenarios/missions, but can submit to playing PvP.

If teamwork is the game then i hope i might be your man!
You're pretty much guaranteed to see me on every weekend i can, however don't expect to see me every week day.
If you have questions or i think i might do good with your unit please send a PM my way.

I'm seeking to join a group that is fairly realistic and has structure. Preferably a group who plays most nights of the week and has fun/expansive operations. I've never played with an Arma II clan as my only experience really comes from dayz. I know most of the basics in Arma. I'm not very good at piloting yet, but it may be something I'd be interested in some day. For the mean time, I look to play basic roles like rifleman or medic..maybe even scout at some point.

My in game name will probably be, Lucid. I'm 24 years old and I live in e.s.t. time zone, east coast U.S.. I have a mic and can follow directions well. I play well with others. :) Just send me a pm.

Hey There

I am limited to ARMA 2 Free for a couple of months since my PC is in storage so I am limited to my laptop and have been playing a lot the past couple of weeks.

I enjoy being a Anti-Armour specialist and can fly Choppas reasonably well with mouse and key.

I am mature and can't see any fun in shooting teammates, there's a lot of fun to be had in the multiplayer experience so I look forward to the ARMA 2 Squad experience!

I have been playing ARMA since January 27th. I have completed the ARMA II singleplayer campaign and am part way through Operation Arrowhead. I have been trying to find a decent multiplayer experience but have not had much luck. I quickly noticed the mechanics of the game changes significantly, which is expected in a sandbox game where users create the content. I feel a group will give me the consistency I need to enjoy this simulation, where I can build structured habits. Even though I have been playing FPS games for most of my life, I am open to adjustments in my technique and can accept constructive criticism. I enjoy the game and look forward to enjoying a group. I just want to have fun.

Thanks in advance for reading my post.

Hello, ive been playing arma for about two months now and im looking for some more permenant squadmates. I am a rather good transportation pilot, but can't fly attack helicoptors to save my life. I am also more than proficiant in armored/light armor warfare, and can alos fith well with an infantry squad (As a member or leader of AI). Im looking for a fairly large squad who practices together and takes their tactics seriously.

My Name on Steam is doubleup489, alias Verhuer.

I look forward to hearing from someone soon

Name: Chomiq
Time Zone/Location: GMT +1
Age: 27
Bio:
- Been playing Arma with since OA release, mostly small group stuff with friends from TS3 (10 folks tops). Considering the fact that our group was reduced to something around 6 guys max actively playing Arma I decided to look for some more active bunch of players to enjoy some coop sessions during weekends.

What I'd like to join: some sort of easy going group but I have nothing against adding realism and tactics to it. My main focus so far was on coop missions so that's what I'm aiming for. I'd prefer an active group (20+ players) close to my age.

Unit MUST have: ACE,ACRE.

When can I play: during weekends (with focus on Friday and Saturday) preferably between 7 and 11 pm gmt+1.

Ps.
If it ain't a bother I can bring along few guys that can play too.

Hey Chomiq, I'd love to give you more information on my group, but I can't seem to PM you or see any sort of other way of communicating with you. Please PM me and I will give you more information so that I don't break rules.

This would also go for anyone else looking to join a group: if you don't have your PMing enabled, please write down a steam username or some place that people can actually contact you, that way we don't have massive amounts of recruiters posting in this thread.

Since my old clan has been disbanded (or so it seems), I decided to make a new post. These are the things I want:

Must be:
-A clan that doesn't have age restrictions (Or at least one that can make an exception)
-A clan that doesn't force you to play every single day
-A clan that plays primarily on Chernarus

If possible:
-A clan that uses the lesser-factions such as ChDKZ/NAPA/ChDKZ
-A milsim-type clan, or one that plays missions and MP campaigns

NOT looking for:
-A clan that plays exclusively on Takistan/Zargabad

EDIT: It turns out my old clan was still alive. I apologise for misunderstanding, but I'll keep the knowledge of these clans just in case.

I've been a long time away from the Flashpoint/Arma community, Arma3 is tempting me back in, but I'm thinking it would be good to brush up my skills with a little Operation Arrowhead before that. Any squads out there accepting so old they're new again type players?
I've got a decent enough amount of time to put in, a mic, and know my way around a helicopter. I'm also planning to brush up my mission editing/scripting skills when the alpha comes around.

I've had Arma 2 CO for a while now but would like to start playing with a squad. I'm also getting Arma 3 Alpha and will be spending alot of time with that. I can fly well enough, use most vehicles and enjoy structured team based gameplay. I'll take whatever role and am more than happy to follow more experienced players and will download whatever mods are needed. My schedule allows for almost daily play from 10am-5pm M-F (CST). PM me please.

I've been playing OFP & Arma 2 for the last 8 years or so and im reasonably competent in most roles. Ive only just started using ACE so im a bit of a noobie when it comes to the ins and outs of it, but i'm liking what im seeing so far.

Games: Arma 2,all the expansions/DLC's for it except for Arma 2:ACR and Arma 3 alpha

This will be like my 3rd post on this thread :D. Regardless, I am looking for a EU or NA, MilSim Tactical squad. Bluefor or Opfor I am not looking for something big, if you have 40+ members please do not PM me.

I am 16 years of age and live in the United Kingdom, I can play with NA based squads on weekends but prefer ability to play with members during the week. I can be active daily how ever I run my own clan in another game meaning this will be my priority however most of my days will be free to participate in ops. I aslo own arma 3, any squads looking to expand there in the near future I would like to participate with you if I join you.

Looking for a fun laid back group. I have no desire to call anyone sir. I want a group that employs tactics and team work in game, and dosent have all the mil sim outside of the game. I am 36 and live in Des Moines, Iowa (central time zone). I want to be a CAS pilot in the end but have no problem working my way there. Wouldn't mind a smaller group that is looking to grow. I have some tactics training in RL. Send me a PM if you think I woul dbe a good fit.

-Was a Apache Pilot/Gunner in charge of CAS and Intel feeding to the unit{ giving grid coordinates, enemy strength, "eye in the sky guy"(2011-2012 I think?)}
and if they didn't need the Apache, they would put me in a SPG the M109 Paladin to artillery the Shit out of.

What I'd like to join: Realism unit,(CO-OP). I'm looking for a unit that is/would play with ACE arty/SPG . I have done this plenty of times so I can also train guys to use ace arty and the proper Fwd observer to arty talk.

Position in the Unit: Fire Direction Specialist position in SPG or ACE Artillery

On a side note I had to leave the current unit I was in do to personal issues, no bridges were burned (I can give the you thr vent info if questions are needed)

Hi,

I'm a 22yo Belgian player and I'm looking for a squad.
I've only played in public games so far (arma 2 & 3) but lately the amount of inexperienced players who think this is yet another casual shooter make most games less fun for me.
So if you have a good tactical squad with good leaders please contact me

I'm not a very talkative person but I have access to a good quality microphone and any voice comms you would want me to use.
I prefer infantry support roles (corpsman, AT, Machinegunner) but am open for any role. I even can fly planes a bit.

PS: I'm fluent in both Dutch and English (speaking and writing).

About myself: Got into ARMA recently and... still a little shakey but I'm sure I can adapt with a few keybinding changes at some point. I've always been a fan of military history myself and at one point considered even joining.

I just want to be part of a community who do operations, are generally amusing, and are not d-nozzles. I'd like to hope I can fill a role in a Helo at some point but I'm in no hurry.

I have a working mic, semi-powerful rig (I can give specs if asked from memory), and some sexy peripherals.

Hmm, I guess I should also post more on the forums and get the discussion going. Also! I've always wondered what it'd be like to have video footage of myself in some way or another. Be it myself or an in-game avatar.

I have played ArmAII for about 1 ½ – 2 years now, mostly playing on the Tactical Gamer and Military Gaming servers. I am willing to listen too and follow orders, and I am able to be serious when it is time to be serious, but I also am able to take a joke and mess around as well. I'm ready and willing to listen and learn, because I understand that I do NOT know everything there is too know.
While playing on the TG and MilGo servers, I mostly would play as a medic, using ACE, so I do know the ins and outs of that system. With the recent release of CMS(Combat Medical System) I have begun practicing with that system, and I'm not as good as I want too be yet, but I'm willing to learn how too be better if a unit that uses CMS is willing too teach me.
I can attend most EST and CST evening times during weekdays, provided it does not start at 9 or later due too high school starting early in the mornings. Sundays the same thing applies(until summer), and next year will be more flexible as it is my senior year.
I'd like to be in a unit that is also considering moving up to ArmAIII eventually, once mods and everything are updated, but I'm not making that my primary factor. ACE and ACRE are both a must, and I'd prefer to be in a unit that does MilSim COOP instead of PvP.

Position in the Unit: Preferably Combat Medic or MEDVAC In-Flight Medic

Unit Mods: ACE & ACRE must be used, and CMS if possible, but I will join without CMS

If you're interested, send me a PM on these forums please.

Hey all,

I'd like to join a unit that emphasizes tactical realism. Looking for one that holds regular drills and has a military rank structure similar to the US Army.

My goal is to become a well-rounded Arma soldier. I want to try out different roles while moving up through the ranks so that at some point I can specialize. That said, I'm new to the Arma series, downloaded Arma 2 and OA a few days ago. Working on completing the single player campaign and going through all the boot camp missions to get a handle on the basics.

Some info about me:
-I'm 30 yrs old
-Located on the east coast (EST)
-Available to partake in weekly drills and operations
-Inclined towards teamwork and cooperation
-Would like to learn and develop tactical skills

Please contact me if you think I'd be a good fit for you unit!

Cheers

I have been playing ArmA:2 for about 9 months now, and I practice flying helicopters with various emergency scenarios about 2-3 times per week, and can not only fly very well, but can also survive in almost any emergency situation 9 times out of 10. Including Engine failures, Anti-torque failures and any other emergency situation, with all of my crew surviving and never bailing out of the vehicle. . I am especially interested in flying the AH-64 Apache helicopter as either a gunner or a pilot, however I can and will fly any chopper needed. I have been in a unit before. My infantry skills are adequate, but not amazing. Message me on steam and I assure you I will be a great addition to your unit.

I am looking for a good group of fun and mature people to play Arma 3/Arma 2 with.

I am looking for more cooperative gameplay, but that can include cooperative PvP engagements and missions. I would prefer a private server that keeps the trolls out, but a public server with good moderation isn't out of the question.

I would prefer a more established group that plays on regular days of the week. I work full time so I would be available after 6:00 PM (PST GMT-8) Monday-Friday, after 5:00 PM Saturday, and Sunday anytime.

West Coast Looking for Squad/Clan

I prefer large scale engagements, so I would like to play with a group that has a lot of attendance, small 5-10 player gameplay just isn't for me.

I have a high level of skill in infantry, I have played a large amount of Arma 2 ACE/ACRE mod gameplay as everything from rifleman to marksman to light and heavy mg and some medic experience. I have a small amount of vehicle experience, but almost no piloting experience (although I'm not afraid to learn if that is what you need). I do have a joystick setup so that would not be an issue.

To summarize, I am looking for a group that:

Is mature.
Plays consistently.
Plays after 5:00 and 6:00 PM PST (GMT-8)
Has a medium to large number of members.
Is fun but serious.

Thank you for your consideration.

My new rig runs Arma 3 with no issues, if that is of any concern.

Hi guys (& gals),

Hoping this doesn't come across as an intro thread (against the rules i know), but i'm brand new to arma, and indeed PC gaming as whole, and am looking for a decent bunch of peeps who don't mind babysitting a newbie to play with. Have played the odd mission solo but honestly just couldn't get into it and have also tried a few online servers but the ones i got onto were full of *************** so i gave up. I'm ex-military and am looking for a good craic aswell as immersing myself into the game so please reply/message if you can help :)

Hi all, I'm new to bi forums and I'm comming across from Armaholic to increase my chances in finding a squad. I've played Arma 2 for nearly 3 years now and I've mostly played in public online matches ranging from domination to small team co-op missions back over to large scale TvT missions in Fallujah using ace and acre. I got heavily involved with PR: ARMA 2 when that came out and I fell in love with the TvT aspect even more, but sadly the mod didn't last long and people left. (They're now waiting for the Arma 3 version of PR) So I naturally kept playing the public matches and PR; BF2.

I'm back now to Arma 2 and I'm looking for the first time to get into a TvT based large scale squad/unit. One that partcipates against other units and in tourments on a regular basis. In game training nights would be appricated to polish up on my Arma 2 weapon skills. I've got a breif description below now that I've got my introduction out of the way :)

Age: 22
In-Game name: Tilyard
Location: UK, Bedfordshire.
Microphone: Yes
Teamspeak: Yes
Spoken Language: English
Pay for a server: No. (But I am not sure what this means)
Games: Arma 2, Operation Arrowhead, PMC, BAF, ACR, Combined Ops, Take on helicopters, Take on hinds, TOH Re-Armed
Roles Preferred: I'm heavily into the Machine Gunner role but I can also take on /Rifleman/Sapper, Pilot/Gunner
Mods: Six Updater so all mods at my disposal. I can also manually install any mod myself.

If you have a squad/unit I will fit into, please leave me a message via bistudio or contact me via hotmail on tilyardgames@<hidden>

Hey all,

I've been playing Arma 2 OA for about 2 years now on and off. Started with just basic domination, but in the past year i've picked up DayZ and wasteland. Although i enjoy both i really want to play some more realistic missions.

I have no irl military training but am willing to do any training that you offer (callsigns, tactics ect...)
I have used mods within Arma but have yet to use ACRE or ACE so i may need a little help setting up ACRE as i hear it can be a bitch at times.

I'm looking for that proper squad/ team vibe that i know you can get from this game when played with like minded people.

Ranks ect are fine by me as long as its not over the top. I have more spare time nowdays so training nights ect shouldnt be a problem. Although i cannot say for sure how many nights a week i can play. At least 2-3 i would say tho.

Add me on steam: antnyhague if you think i might work well in your squad.

Other games i play include: Battlefield 3, TF2, Red Orchestra 2 plus many more.

Cheers

Antny

*Edit* I would ideally prefer a UK based clan/squad as it makes it easier with times of missions ect... but wont rule out non european clans if the times you play are ok ect...

Phoenix49
May 23 2013, 10:12
Hello, my name is Phoenix.

I have been playing ArmA 2 for 2 years now, on and off, and am looking forward to ArmA 3. I am currently looking for a fun and serious squad in which I can enjoy the game through its multiplayer/co-op aspect, as well as generally get better at it while being part of a community.

About myself:
Age: 23
Location: London, UK
Occupation: Full-time MSc student
Military: No military experience
Multiplayer/Online experience: I have always enjoyed both PvE and PvP aspects of online games, I was a raider/officer in hardcore guilds in WoW for several years, and play MOBAS frequently. I enjoy particularly playing with friends/guild/clan/squad mates rather than being paired up with random strangers on the internet who won't have my back.
Setup: I play using mouse/keyboard (no flight stick), have a working microphone/multi-channel headset, I don't use any freetracking device.
Software: Have TS3, Skype, and use some basic mods like stHUD, JSRS and Blastcore. No ACRE/ACE experience. Of course I don't mind playing/downloading any mods required by the squad.
Preferred roles: I want to get better as a heli pilot (transport), but I am willing to play/specialize in any infantry role, whatever the team needs.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR:
- ENGLISH-SPEAKING, EU ZONE SQUADS.
- A community that will help me experience what I love about ArmA: a hardcore, mature, realistic, slow-paced, TEAMWORK-CENTERED, hierarchical multiplayer experience where patience, discipline and team spirit are everything.
- A squad that plays seriously in order to complete missions/campaigns by using tactics and not just "rush forward and grab objectives". Not interested in Wasteland/DayZ "every man for themselves" spin-offs.
- A squad that is NOT fully milsim. I still consider ArmA 2 a game, even if I play it as seriously as possible.
- A squad that uses tactics and good organisation to complete its missions, not just "take up any slot you want and let's kill some baddies"-tactics.
- A fun environment where banter is allowed in chat or within fireteams. The way I see it, we're a bunch of friends playing a video game, might as well make it an enjoyable time.
- A squad that will help me in areas that I'm interested in. I am really interested in playing deep strike scout/recon missions as part of a small fireteam, for example. I would like to be allowed to try things out without having to do 6 months of training prior to being deemed "worthy" of it.
- A squad that will challenge me by assigning responsibilities to me and trusting me, whether it be piloting, recon or demolition roles, for example. Show me that you trust me with stuff to do and I will deliver my 500%.
- An environment where I can be given advice and help by more seasoned players. I am really interested in flying transport helicopters, I would enjoy having a mentor/advisor that will teach me a few tricks and help me out.
- I enjoy long, realistic sessions more than short ones. This allows for more tactical opportunities as one can insert scouts and gather intel and still play the same scenario several hours later once the tactics have been established.

WHAT I AM NOT LOOKING FOR:
- A full MilSim squad. I am not interested in going to the army in real life, so I am not looking for that in a video game either.
- A squad that expects me to put in 50 hours of training every week until I get good enough before they allow me to join their real sessions.
- A squad that requires a high attendance/has training days which are mandatory. I want to know that if I play, and then I leave for 2 weeks of holiday, I won't be banned/demoted just because I have a life.
- A squad were jokes/fun/banter is not allowed at all because "ArmA 2 is serious business". I appreciate that some squads/players like this style of play, but I like to know that I won't get banned if I make a joke once in a while.
- A squad that sticks to 20-30mins game sessions, and rushes to objectives (while getting 90% of players killed) rather than a slow, realistic, calculated approach to objective completion.

You can contact me on these forums.

Best,

Phoenix
