View Full Version : How to get mods to work in steam

Hi there,

I have A2 on steam, I am wanting to install VOP sounds v2.1 on my game how do i do it?

The instructions only relate to a non steam Arma 2.

Please help!

you instal mods thesame way for steam as for regular copys....

instead of path the guides tell u u need to make the folder for ur addon in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2

anyways hope it hels cant explain it easyer then that...

Installing mods with modfolders you need to right click ARMA2 in the steam games tab, go to properties and change the launch options just like you would for a normal non-steam shortcut after you make the modfolder in your main ARMA2 directory... I think :D

I just read over how to install modfolders and registered here 10 minutes ago..

In short without you looking anywhere. Mods work on Steam versions fine. The easiest way is to get one of the Arma2 launchers from Armaholic (http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=a2_misc_util) or wheverever. Then you make the modfolders as per usual in steam/steamapps/common/arma2 and they should show up in the Arma2 launcher.
