Running the beta dedi server

I can run the normal (1.03) dedi server without any problems at all. The beta dedi server keep kicking up something about No entry in .defaultProfile.

Anyone know how I can test the dedi server ?

Just tried the beta server - seems to work fine. Just run it the same way as you run the main beta Arma2.exe:

1. Create a shortcut to the server exe.
2. Add -mod=beta to the target line.
3. Change the "Start in" line to the main Arma2 directory.

So, assuming you installed Arma2 under D:\Arma2, the shortcut should look something like this:

Target: "D:\Arma2\beta\arma2server.exe" -mod=beta
Start in: "D:\Arma2"

Works for me. :)

Superb ... thanks MadDogX ... the bit that was going wrong was the START IN part ...... it was pointing to the beta directory.
