Is there some files on the cd that tell you your cdkey?

No because the CD Key is not a tied to the CD. It is more of a registration key.

Yep that is about it. Hint, when you buy any game with a CD Key, if you lose the key, you've lost the game.

Or you can call the Customer Service people at Codemasters and get a CD key from them. They do in fact have a procedure for dealing with this.
