Is there some file in the cd that tell you the cdkey?

I doubt it. Find the manual or else you're screwed I'd say.

Hey my kid tore up my manual and wife tossed it out with the garbage(felt like tossing her out with it the dumbass)so I called Codemasters and they gave me a new cdkey. Thank God!!

Worked for me......But hey I have the retail verson and I paid for it so be honest. And if you not Santa will fill you stocking with coal this year.
