Hi Lads,

Is it possible to create a hud/gauge which shows the image of the helicopters camera? I'd like to see something similar in Arma 2 as they accomplished in EECH:

Between 3.40 - 4 minutes. There you see the hud/gauge with an image of the camera.

I think it should be possible, but how?

No, it isnt, because ArmA2 does not supprt render to texture

Image in image? I thaught they talked about it long before ARMA2 was released, but i think it was dropped as i cant see rear view mirrors working etc. I think everyone want working MFD's, but is it possible in ARMA2? Dont know. Someone with more skills have to answer that one.

also not by some fancy coding or scripting. BIS, please confirm this. That game is 10 years old, please tell me that this modern engine is capable of that.

1. My PC has a hard enough time rendering the scene in one FOV let alone two. I don't think there's a PC around that could deal with this.

2. Unless p75 has actually learned how to make such a thing since registering Jun 2009 (and 'no', passing comment on other people's work doesn't count) then this is a nothing more than a rather thinly veiled Addon Request (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=74039).

It doesnt need BI to confirm it.

The engine simply does NOT support rendering from more than one PoV at a time.

There is no workaround for it? I could see alot of applications for it. Doesn't vbs 2 have it?

Kegetys were able to inject textures to the game with ArmALib in A2. But I still think it is not possible.
