Is Resistance an addon to OPF 1.46 (whatever version we might have at the time). Or is it a seperate new game (OPF2)?

It is expansion pack for original Operation Flashpoint.

Has BIS made a decision yet as to whether players who do not want the new campaign (and Island and addons) will have a free downloadable ultimate upgrade patch that will just upgrade the game and MP execution code?

I guess it's too early to say also whether that new update also includes red hammer as a "platinum" update ?

Red Hammer was made by Codemasters. Expansion pack is being made by BIS. I don't think they're gonna put RH in the expansion pack.

When will Resistance realistically be out?

Currently I have all options maxed out on my 1.8ghz+GF3. Will that be possible with Resistance too. Or do I need a better PC (again) http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Resistance is scheduled for late June and your PC sounds just fine if not overqualified.

I hate to admit it, but I have mixed feeling about the coming release of the resistance addon. We are 15 - 20 regular people that meets monthly for playing MP OFP. Of all I am stuck with the low end machine. PIII 500, 768Mb ram and KyroII.
All the others will buy the resistance addon for sure, and where will it leave me. Out of MP?

I may try to upgrade to GF4 (it's still too expensive I think), but mostly I don't think it will help enough. My old PIII isn't capable to fuel the GF4 card.

My daughter is 4 year, she is not old. My Pc is 2,5 year and it's old - try to explain that to my wife. No way.

Well, if system requirements for games had stayed the same since 1994 to keep gamers happy then we'd still all be playing Doom....you really have to think about it that way. It fuels progress if anything, and it's something all PC owners are more than used to.

They might, Codemasters that is, as they are the publisher in the end.
