Hey. :)

I'm pretty sure the info I'm searching for is scattered somewhere in x threads ascross this forum, but for my question being an easy one I just ask it directly without spending hours of searching...

I want to install and use several sound mods.
Namely those are:

RH-Heli sounds
Tracked-Vehicle sounds
HiFi-A10 sounds
and The VOP sounds.

Now, I read that those are compatible with each other but i still do not get how to install them in a way they work.
Is there a certain order I have to install them in? Or do I have to replace some files of one addon with some files of the other addon?

What I am somethimes missing is a detailed description how to install things without having to read the ..like 20 pages... of Arma1 (and therefore Arma 2) basics how to install, how to combine, how to replace and so on. Just lemme be a stupid, unknowing user :P

Thanks for your help.

Regards

put each mod in its folder \arma2\@<hidden>\addons\.pbo files and get arma 2 launcher

Example VOPsound

you should put vop pbo files in \Arma2\@<hidden>\addons\the files of vopsound

Though it does not answer my question (nor, di I think, do you understand what the point of my question is...) I thank you for answering.

Now, I asked if there has to be a specific order in which to install/load the addons.
OR if I have to replace some pbos of the one addon with ones provided by other addons.
Hope that is clear enough so that i am not get wrong :)

Why not try making 1 sound folder, for example '@<hidden>/addons'. then 1 by 1 place each seperate set of files (vopmod, tango's etc) into your new @<hidden>/addons and test. At least you'll find out whats causing conflicts or not working this way.

I've run the sound mod's mod folders in no particular order, and really haven't noticed anything not working. Although, sometimes I find myself order it Weapons (infantry)-Land Vehicles-Air....I don't know why, but I do. Then again I'm always an odd ball anyways. So in other words:

Vop
Tracked
RH Heli
A10

But again, sometimes I don't necessarily put them in that order if I'm selecting really fast for a quick game or test. So far so good.

Hope that helps some. :)
