An Editor Update Addon Not Requiring Others to Download?

I was under the impression that others didn't have to download Editor Update addon(s) as the objects were already in-game and the download was simply allowing the mission maker access to them via the editor.

I recently downloaded 1.0 of Jon's -C5- Editor Update and went all out making a really elaborate mission and exported it online. A few others tried joining and were all kicked because they were missing the file.

I could have sworn back in the OFP days this file was not needed by others... Are there any editor updates in this game that do not require others to have?

Theres a bunch of CTF maps using custom building placements... theres gotta be something, the old Hexenkessel is back (I probably misspelled that horribly) ;)

Try the Complete and/or Discussion threads for Mods/AddOns. Not sure if there is anything similar to what you are asking but you will definitely get more people responding. I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the EU thread but I think I recall seeing this discussion before. Good luck.

Thanks I'll take a look at the link and take a trip on over to that Discussion. I thought initially that this category being that of "scripting (addons)" it would warrant the discussion of the editor update that constitutes not necessarily a full blown addon that people had to download but more or less a addon that were used by editors that others didn't need.
