Norwegian Special Forces (FSK) - retexture

This addon contains Norwegian Special Forces (FSK) units in woodland camo for Arma2.

The units are retextured FR Units and the pack consists of a Team Leader, Marsksman, Grenadier, Machine Gunner and Medic.
You can find them under Blufor -> FSK -> Men
I have also added new generic names so that the units will have norwegian names.

I found it hard to decide how the units would look and what kind of weapons they should use, so I chose to make them very similar to the american soldiers.

Known Issues:
Sometimes the units hat gets transparent or something weird. Must be a model bug or something.

Only thing I can think of that's wrong with them is that the Norwegian flag one one of the lads sleeve seems to be latterally reversed (i.e the blue and white cross is on the wrong side of the flag).

actually it´s heraldic correct..

the flag should always be positioned so that it waves against the direction of travel.
if it´s the other way around it means you´re fleeing according to common heraldic rules.
i know that some countries havn´t taken that into consideration and thus have the flag the wrong way meaning they are fleeing/are cowards.

but i guess that meant more in the 18th century then it does today..
i mean, can swedish feminists castrate a heraldic lion (becouse it was obsene) then why not put the flag the wrong way too?

About the weapons:

So M4 can do for now...:p
(Can't imagine special forces ever using AG3's, but it would have been cool to have it ingame) Making totally new weapons is just so much work :eek:

I would like to switch out the M9 with glock 17. That would have been cool.

Also I think that if FSK would help out in this fictional conflict they would work closely with the americans and therefore use much of their equipment...


Just a little explanation of my choices. ;)

BTW: I think Arma2 rocks and is a great improvement from Arma1

The norwegian FSK/HJK uses P226 as their standard sidearm. Other than that i guess the weapons in the link is pretty accurate.

It would be cool to have FSK/HJK soldiers in their black CQC-suits with SF-Helmets too. Are you planing something like that Freddern freddy boy.

I wish to make M8 rifle with camo texture for this unit. But I wonder where I can get basic m8 rifle p3d file...Texture job is done but need to get basic p3d file to assign new textures. And is there any Oxygen 2 compatible with arma2?

Very good work! :D As soon as we release a version of our swedish mod "Distant Conflict" over at Anrop.se, we just have to set up a Sweden vs Norway scenario :D Just as in the good old days of Silent Heroes!

Looks good but I guess that the camouflage seems blur.

The team leader has the flag on both his arms, and the one on the left (the important one) is the wrong way round.

Other than that the uniforms themselves look really nice.
For some reason I think the heads are a bit weird, but I can't put my finger on it.

But a really good retexture all around.

You guys do realise that FSK or cant even be compared to Norwegian MJK? "A navy seal squad was visiting MJK and wanted to see the recruiting process for themselves, they all failed. This is a small sign to show that the Norwegian special forces have an extremely high standard." So thats it. You should make for MJK aswell. But me liked this anyway.
