Isn't there an ingame editor mod for Arma 2? Like a spawn menu of sorts while you are actually playing so you can spawn stuff in real time. I thought I saw it somewhere but now I cannot find it!

i'm not sure what ur asking but i think u mean the real time editor at the main menu press alt+e then choose ur map place a center and a group and then place ur units

To answer the OP, yea, hit ALT-E at the main screen, though I find it to be fairly buggy.

Check out some of the other RTEs. :)

Yup follow what others have said here for the 3D Editor. Also RTE IV by i0n0s is very nice. To learn more about the 3D Editor check this thread. Look at Cadmium77 3rd post down. He's got a few tutorial video:
