Does anyone remember the mission/map that was designed to play almost exactly like Project Reality and its AAS mode with caps. etc? It was made for ArmA1 and I can't seem to find it or remember its name.
Would like to see it ported for ArmA2. Can you please point to it if you know.
Thanks.

There were a few mission packs that use the AAS v1 & v2 game modes.
There was also Devastation (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=66521) which uses the AAS v2 game mode and also tried to emulate many parts of PR. It is currently being ported right now and has been undergoing a major overhaul over the last month, so you should see the initial 'light' version within 2 weeks. Arma 2 is much more suited to this mode, this time around.

That's the one. Excellent news and thanks! I was a big fan of this and I can only imagine it will be all the better with ArmA2.

Can't wait for the Arma2 Version, your Arma one is great!!

Topic: Thanks for the interest. I guess I should already start a new thread topic showing the progress and status, since the initial release is due soon. I'll do that later today with some preview screenshots and information.
Project status: Game mode engine is at 'beta testing' stage.
Proposed plans:
within 2-5 days - complete beta testing
release 1 mission for public/peer beta testing (24v24 player Sea/Air vs Land theme)
Get some feedback on final design concepts
within 1-2 weeks - release another 4 or so missions, (using same game mode, but covering other themes (and maybe islands). Eg: infantry/forests, town, air vs air, land vs land)
within 1-3 weeks - release PDF manual
3 months - new game modes... (there are at least 4 untapped game modes not seen in Arma yet)

Hey Dr.
Any chance of integrating the ability to set a squad rally point (something similar to what pogoman did with his insurgancy mission?) That coupled with what you already had in you Arma1 version would really encourage teamplay and keep the squad togather and communicating. I think adding the rally point ability would really encourage squad communication and that really needs to happen.......right now its pretty quiet no matter what squad you are in. Possibly some sort of ticket system? Assets lost lose you tickets depending on the assets worth? Just some thoughts. If you need any help coding we've got a couple of peeps at tcombat.com that would probably help out.

Good to hear. If I can suggest something, please think about also releasing a smaller mission for Beta testing so that clans on closed servers can test.
Thanks.
