View Full Version : Animating Air Search and Artillery Radar

Hi all

Just placed the Radars on the map, they would make good mission objectives - but the radar dishes are not moving by default. I guess they need some kind of animation code entered, has anyone figured out the correct command?

Hmmm...the Artillery radar isn't supposed to be moving afaik, the Air Radar is moving by default at my side. Or maybe we don't speak about the same object. Can you clarify (screenshot) please?

It's the stuff in USMC-Warfare Buildings-Air Radar and Artillery Radar. Not empty (yellow), but actually green.

I'll get screens later if I can't fix it. Thanks.

Do those radar systems work for player/AI or are they only eyecandy?

They are activated in Warfare, not sure if they do anything if you just place them.

Myke, for me the Air Radar and Arty Radar are definitly NOT moving. I place Empty-Warfare Buildings-Air Radar or Artillery Radar, and they just stand there.

What object are you placing?

believe there is one in empty objects (military) as well.

<edit> there's not.. but the warfare one is animated for me as well.

Can you guys clarify which object exactly you are placing in the editor? I'm on version 1.01 here, this drives me nuts.

You are obviously NOT talking about the Radar when it's used inside a default Warfare mission, but about an editor-placed object?

Seems like the "West" radars dont animate, the others does by just placing them.
