View Full Version : Mouse Sensitivity
Where do I set this setting?
The gun moves too slow and it's hard to aim.

x and y mouse sth
Be aware the A2 simulates weight of weapons. So you cannot make a 360 in a millisecond.
No no. I know that.
It's just there is a kinda weapon lag. So I mean, I move mouse slightly and it's a little too far off target. So thanks will test taht out.

That means you've got low FPS (probably the motion blur stops you from noticing) and you need to lower your settings.
I went as low as I can. Tell me something.
Will I notice big difference if I upgrade from:
AMD Athlon X2 6400+ 3.2GHz
8800GT 512MB
4GB RAM
TO:
AMD Phenom X4 940 3.0GHz
eVGA GTX260 869MB
4GB RAM
Because I need to upgrade, i wanna run ArmA2 on High.

dunno the AMD CPU, but for graphics, i'd recommend ATI HD 4870 or 4890
I've got a Core2 Quad Q9550 und have 80-90% GPU-Usage at 1920X1200
Well I have 90% GPU usage right now too.
But I have a $600 budget for Mobo, CPU and Graphics card...so I'm afraid I can't get an HD4870

why not? go for an intel q9550 with any P45-Mobo, overclock to 3,4 GHz and add a HD 4890...
you should be fine with 500 € or $...
Hmm...Can you make me a shopping cart from www.newegg.ca please?

well, i'll try it... didn't know that you were talking about Canadian Dollars:)

ouh... they already show USD-values... well, especially the cpu don't seems to be as expensive in Germany...
don't know how to show you my cat, but i took an intel q9400 (better value for games, high overclocking capability), a Gigabyte P45-based mobo (around 109 USD) and a Sapphire Ati HD 4870 for around 183 USD...
you should be served with around 550 USD - but you need to overclock the q9400 to get a real performance boost against your prev cpu...

please also search for a good L775 cooler for your new cpu... you could read tomshardware.com, for example... many ppl recommend the noctua p12.... need also new DDR2-RAM?
yep :P Thanks. I'll be online for a while today. So I'll be checking ;)
well lol I don't really want the HD4870. The GTX260 Core 216 is faster than the HD4870 and can be overclocked much higher with better noise control.
I mean. I don't myself going wrong really with the Phenom X4 940 3.0GHz.
Don't you think that's a good choice?

no problem...
1) to your cpu:
if the 940 fits to your mobo, take him to save costs for a new one. If i look at your current cpu, i even recommend to wait a few months and upgrade to an intel i7/i5-system... should be faster... in first step, i'd upgrade your gfx:
2)graphics:
i personally have the 4870 and it remains silent in my tower. In Arma2 it is (at least a little bit) faster than the GTX 260 - for the same value.
My recommendation:
Buy a Hd4890 now and upgrade your CPU in a few weeks/months. I guess that Arma2 will be further optimized for multi-cores in future.
I've got between 40-50% cpu-usage with my intel quadcore at the moment and i'm sure they will optimize this in future...
So wait with your cpu til BIS is ready an then buy a faster one.
Have a good night! (at least in Germany, its 20 minutes after "ghost-hour" ;-))
lol okay. Well looks like I'm getting GTX260 first.

if you want to buy nvidia, try looking for the GTX 275... its an "improved" GTX 260...
but make your choice on what the 275 costs more than the 260...
