Hi,

when using the VON Feature in Multiplayer Games i often have loud digital Screeching noises. If you ever put a Game CD into an Audio-CD player, you'll get the idea what i mean.
A friend opened a server, i joined, and as soon as one of us pushed the "Push-to-Talk" key, the screeching noise appeared in the receivers headset.

Using VON in ArmA 1 Multiplayer works perfectly fine as does TeamSpeak.

It seems to appear mostly when using the "Direct Communication" Channel and the Noise fades, but never stops, when the players move away from each other.

Anybody notice that, too?

I have a Realtek HD Audio Chip on Board, with ALC889A Audio Codec and using the latest official Driver.

I haven't experienced this yet but the people I play with certainly have. On client servers only, haven't heard of it happening on dedis.

It happens also on dedicated servers.
The only way to get rid of it is that the player who causes the problem disconnects.

Noticed the same problem. On one occasion I, myself, was the culprit, but in a different game someone else caused the screeching. It sounds like a mangled modem, or something. It's awful.
